First A350 visit to DFW

Yep. Recovered and put her in the hangar just before I left work. They would not let any of us inside it. Should be an interesting dog and pony show tomorrow!

It's actually a very good lookin' bird.  The delivery date is getting close!

Just another piece of equipment I have to go to school for and then we have to know how they operate one from the other. What a diverse fleet we have.

I didn't realize the A350 was part of the plan.  I looked back at my old delivery schedule from near the time of the purchase announcement.  Anyone have any idea how many and when deliveries start?

US originally ordered the A350-800, and it looks like Airbus isnt going to build it, so the new AA changed the order to the A350-900.

Its a tribute to being a composite airplane.

Jeez. Nobody can get excited about a new airplane any more??  Or....would you be a bit more complimentary if it was a Boeing fly by of a 787?

I can't believe anyone would show up to see a "new" airplane model flyby, especially since the design is nothing particularly new.  It was understandable that, in the early 1970s, people ined up for hours at St. Louis-Lambert Airport to walk through the new TWA Boeing 747.   It was, and in some ways still is, a radical departure from previous airplanes.  I would have understood the cheering crowd for the A380 for identical reasons.

The A350 simply looks like an A330 from a distance.  Who cares?
