Granted that excessive force is allowable for the unwashed masses.
Dude did not cause harm.
Cops are excessively aggressive but protected.
This needs to change.
Refusing a search is paramount that you have something to hide.
GOD I hope that cops are not like the TV series where they do 100 MPH chases causing multiple accidents to catch some hill billy stealing a pack of smokes.

Cops feel that they are above the law, not all but most.

Hmmmmm. I talked to a friend of mine who happens to be a cop and is, get this, black. I agreed with you before I talked to him, and he enlightened me on a few things. If the guy had COOPERATED with the cops he would have probably gotten an appearance ticket and been sent on his merry way. Look at the guy, he is bigger than 2 cops combined and obviously intimidating an aspect he may have tried to use to his advantage.

He is the one who decided to RESIST arrest AFTER he gave the cops a REASON to arrest him.

There is obviously a war on cops and it makes for an easy
way to make the villains the victim.

Who has done that?

What I have seen is that the black community has made that an issue. This is not a D vs R thing.

And the Ferguson and New York deals are wholly different and should not be discussed in the same context.

And my family is full of LEO'S. They would have handed the dude a ticket and been on their way, if they even gave him the time of day. They are usually busy doing real police work though.

I disagree. A few feel that way but the vast majority are law abiding citizens who are mostly underpaid for the crap they must do. This will not help the recruiting efforts.

I do not understand why several cops are not able to subdue one individual?  The whole thing just does not add up.

Edit:  Just saw the video again and I count 7 cops involved in the arrest.  I do not see his actions justifying the reaction of the cops.

And who is driving these people Dude?  How about President Jarrett, Holder and Obama?

You know Holder sent funding to Trayvon and Fergie protests through his CRS division and had people helping organize protests through straw men?

What's the name of the party headed by racist old white men?

Social Justice

Don't get in our way.

Taxes not coming in on boot leg ciggies is the most egregious criminal act in the new progressive city.
Just a side note: I don't think cops are going out of their way to enforce the LUCY LAW. A Lucy, actually loose-E, is an individual cigarette being sold for a profit. You buy a pack, usually the cheapest you can find and sell each cigarette for a good profit. If I remember correctly, it was the store owners that sell cigarettes that called the cops on him in the first place.

See above.

Resisting arrest.  Go quietly or go down.

Look closely at his SIZE as opposed to the cops. I guess you can't understand.

Like many women say, size does matter.

This help a little?

Guy in NY is even bigger than Brown.

The liberal cesspool of New York is suppressing people?

Say it ain't so!!!!

From the city that charges almost 7 dollars worth of taxes for a pack of cigarettes.

From the city that tried to implement a ban on large soda's (they know what is best for YOU).

From a city that will beat the crap out of you for selling cigarettes (because that is THEIR tax money).

The NY Police department is not about upholding the law, they are about writing BS parking tickets and collecting taxes from the masses.

New York is a fine example of what extreme Socialism (Communism) gets you.

You would think the people of New York would stop voting for these libtard fascist but I guess some people never learn.

I guess they rather be victims of their "Big Brother".

You liberals really should pay attention to what is happening in New York because that is where your path will eventually lead you.

Perhaps this article provides a common ground that hard core Civil Libertarians and Law & Order at at any cost types to get the police and society back on track before the "Thin Blue Line" Collapses under the weight of it's own issues and societies reaction to them. This quote from the below article sums up why we have the unrest and open violence.

"In 129 years since police and fire commissions were created in the state of Wisconsin, we could not find a single ruling by a police department, an inquest or a police commission that a shooting was unjustified.
