GMAFB..."While he says he was playing the music as fan of the University of Alabama,
CPD fully understands sensitivities related to the song and regardless
we cannot condone any behavior that may be viewed as disruptive or disrespectful
to any protestor or resident," a statement from police said.
"To the contrary, as you have seen over the past couple weeks, CPD is dedicated
to ensuring residents' right to free speech and peaceful assembly."
Photographer Gabriel Michael said demonstrators were near the intersection of
Pulaski and Monroe at the end of the march over the weekend when the unmarked
squad car rolled by loudly playing the Lynyrd Skynyrd anthem.
A crime is a crime and even I know for a fact that some cops will throw the book at you. The thing is to remember that there are lawyers if you believe the cops are wrong. If there had been no law regulating the sale of loose cigarettes, would anyone know Eric Garner's name? The short answer is NO!
Anyone of us could find ourselves in Garner's shoes due to a run in with police over a petty, nanny state "crime". Think about this the next time you're detained for a routine traffic stock. You get a bit mouthy and next thing you know it's your saying "I Can't Breathe"
Spoken like a true "My Dog Is Better Than A Gun" advocate. Enlighten me, do you live in a high crime area and speak from experience? I love how experts on societies' problems base their knowledge on THUG CAM! You know, the ones who film the final confrontation rather than the whole incident.Yes...but having to get a permit to own a gun is reason enough to rise up an fight for your rights. FAcing arrest for standing on a street without a permit is best dealt with by just listening to the cop and doing what he tells you.
WHAT THE F#C* ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? Garner couldn't get a permit for selling cigarettes individually anymore than a drug dealer can get a permit. Your talking like an idiot.EXACTLY. But Eric Garner died because he didn't have a permit to stand in a public place. When this is pointed out, the response is "he'd be alive if he just complied". Having to get a permit to stand on a public sidewalk, lest you be subjected to forcible takedown that may result in your death is tyranny, but it's not asking too much according to the "he just shoulda followed orders" crowd. But if you suggest requiring a permit to own a gun, they will pronouce that as tyranny...and the reason the second amendment was created was to protect us from the tyranny of our government. If they were really opposed to tyranny from the government, seems to me that would be the time to take up arms to prevent sidewalk incidents. They don't. They find excuses.
Why exactly were you absent for awhile? I believe it was for some racist remark? I can go dig if you want????Did they give the number of whites killed by whites? Yet you want us to focus on "black on black" crime...don't white lives matter?
Your stupidity far exceeds any microscopic intelligence you possess. First, the cops will be at his door if he didn't. Legal gun, legal registration. They know where he lives. If they ban semiautomatic weapons and you happen to own one, will you give it up if a cop gives you a lawful order to do so?
They'll get you first. So, how do you rise up to fight tyranny if that happens?
