It appears that Doogie and Company have broken the low-fare code. I've always snickered a bit when I hear passengers loudly complaining (for my benefit since I am in uniform) that they will NEVER fly USAirways again!
I have never answered these tirades, but I have an answer ready. I feel like turning to the person and calmly stating: "I hear what you're saying. But I know, and USAirways knows, that the next time you are planning a trip by air, you will shop for price first. If USAirways is a nickel cheaper than the other airlines, you will be right back here again, probably yelling the same thing...again...and again after that."
Of course this scenario normally doesn't apply to business travellers. But USAirways obviously is not concerned with keeping high-yield passengers in their airplanes. Doogie and Company demonstrate this at every turn, with every change.
We used to poke fun at SWA and the other startup discount fare carriers. We called them the Greyhound of the skies. USAirways is now rushing to become the Jeepney of the air:

(Noted lack of amenities...like air conditioning, windows, doors, closets!)
