Do not be over confident. This is not the same as moving between bases at US Airways or starting at a new airline with Initial Training.
Maestro is an entirely different from Catcrew in appearance, operation, accessibility and timeline. You won't have a lot of time to just "figure it out." You will have to be prepared to bid for June by May 17th. Remember we do not bid 2 months out here. Plus Maestro can be difficult to do from home unless you have been shown some things.
F/A briefings not conducted on the aircraft,, no bag rooms, the whole hotel sign in thing, different acronyms, one track disciplinary program.....They will give you some people you can use as contacts. This one thing will be of great use to you when you find yourself feeling like you have landed on a different planet. It will feel like that to you if you have had many years in an East base. Despite such things as Uniforms FAITs and finally a contract, the East and West have remained in separate orbits and culturally are still very different.
I could go on, and I doubt they are ecstatic about the cost. But it is a professional kindness and probably covers their liabilities if some cranky been at too many rodeos guy gets frustrated and takes it out on an unsuspecting keyboard.......
The respectful and smart thing to do is to appreciate the paid for education.
WW! Welcome to the West!
