AAviator;
Good point(about the DOT)

Secondly, AA pilots "ARE" doing it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you can believe me or not, but it keeps LOCAL MANAGEMENT from having to answer to HDQ's for "LEGITIMATE" delays.(which we all know WOULD'NT be tolorated) HDQ's see's "on paper" that everything is "hunky dory", when in fact it's not.

Bears, On time performance is measued by the D.O.T. at 31 airports. This is an "Arrival" statistic. How can the company falsify something that isn't even required to be reported?
AAviator, Thanks for your input. "Out" times are for Crew pay and Station performance IMHO. The DOT only publishes Arrival times (14 min. or less is considered ontime). Many flights are overscheduled to offset this and I don't doubt that this might adversely affect ground folks. I guess it is up to the beancounters as to more staffing or longer turn times or longer scheduled flight times. My 2 cents.

GO PATS!!! :up:
