Delta pilots say he! no ...

Yep, ol Moakie lead you and your group in BK marching around like a bunch of clones for a contract...then he had all of you accept losing the old pension in the new contract. I think Parker knows who he's dealing with....

What was that that you guys kept in BK? That's what I thought.

I think Moak is about to be edge-a-mucated by $10 Billion and a team of Harvard M&A lawyers.

I doubt it. Don't forget that in the other BKs, it was the management of the company in BK that asked for union contracts to be stripped/abrogated. DL's management has no intention of doing this because they do not support the merger. The DL pilot contract is a good shield for them.

Parker, LCC and your alleged team of Harvard M&A lawyers have no standing with the BK court in this case. They are neither creditors nor a party to the DL pilot contract.

I would be more concerned if I were an LCC pilot. With the apparent willingness of the LCC pilot's union to roll over for the company in the past, a merger might result in the DL pilot contract remaining with massive furloughs on the LCC side.

As usual, your to busy listening to yourself and MISSED the point!! Moakie is basically your typical cheerleader....

I guess I didn't see that you had any point. Your one line soundbites make no sense.

The cuts we had to take were painful for all involved but Moak and Co. were able to keep quite a bit more than any other carrier who had been in BK so far. The truly sad thing is that even after a 40% pay cut and loss of our A fund retirement, we are still way ahead of US/AWA in all categories. The pilots are just one of many guns pointed at this merger. I'll take Moak's and team's leadership in this any day.

Bullseye!

The Delta pilots have shown, and continue to show a willingness to stand up and stand together. I doubt that fact has been lost on Parker.

If and/or when it comes down to cutting that 10% capacity, instead of trying to abrogate the DALPA contract, Parker will take the path of least resistance and once again turn to the pilot group with the weakest contract, the weakest scope clause, and, most importantly, the weakest resolve.

And we all know who that is...

IF I'm not mistaken Lee Moak was elected after the agreement that ended the 1113c. I've heard of Delta pilots envoking the name of Troy Kane all the time in their rallies.I think that is in referrence to the last person on the furlough list. Some kind of fight to get him back to work I guess.I understand that he has been recalled. How manny usair pilots are on furlough? How manny have lost their recall rights? Are there any Real USair pilots on this board that can answer this.
Also why is everyone so hard on the USAir people? They may have their name on the side but all the Hostle takeover and bad blood is coming from the AmericaWest side ....Parker

Technically, 1600+. How many of those would ultimately come back if given the chance is anybody's guess - 50%, 75%, 90%?

As far as losing recall rights, I don't know it for a fact but don't think any have (other than thru resignation, "retirement" (age 60), death). Our contract has no time limit on recall rights, and furloughees can pass recall as long as there are furloughees junior to them or the only position available is the E-190.

Troy Kane was the last DL pilot furloughed. He and all others have been offered recall and hiring will begin shortly. His name is synonomous with recall completion and the end of a sad chapter in DL history. As a side note, DALPA offered all furloughed pilots paid cobra benefits while furloughed to take at least one worry off those facing a wall of worry. Not sure of any other group that did so.

Sorry you feel that everyone is so hard on US people. I wish them the best after what they have been through. We are all basically the same type of people in this industry with a lot in common. I do believe this merger will be terrible for my company and is worth fighting. My problem is with US management and those US/AWA people who can't understand why DL people wouldn't want the merger and insist on saying we need to just accept it or be fragmented. They are wrong but insist on spreading their BS on a DL message board.
