DCA Slots

According to DCA's own statistics US only has 19.1% of DCA market share with all its flights as of 11/12.

Republic has 13.6%

Air Wisconsin has 6.7%

PSA has 3.6%

So US has a total of 43% of the passengers in DCA.

but they control 55% of the slots... the fact that there is a more than 10 point gap between passenger share and slot share provides proof that they don't need the number of slots they have to provide the service... or that at least a part of the 10% slot gap can be better used by other carriers.

US and AA will divest in DCA.. it's just a matter of how many.

Wow based on your own link only ~45% of US' capacity at DCA is mainline, lots of Express flying. Aside from the BOS/LGA shuttle flights how much mainline flying is there at DCA? Just a few FL routes, LAS, PHX, and SAN (maybe a few others)?
