What's new

Dal Liquidation

Wow, you figured out I'm married! Good boy, here's your bisquit. (woof)

When they are good and ready (or the judge/creditors force their hand) watch the numbers change. Tilton's main objective is to stay in BK until forced out of it, IMHO. (and you won't be allowed to languish in BK while making profits) Cash Flow Positive mean anything to you? Depreciation of aircraft? One time fees? Fuzzy Math?

I heard Northwest is having a little cash crunch themselves. Too bad, so sad.

Pilots urge other Northwest unions to take cuts

Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS - In an effort to preserve jobs and save Northwest Airlines from
potential bankruptcy, the head of the pilots union is urging other unions to accept cuts.

----------------------------------------------------------
Like Mathews, Bobby DePace of the IAM was unmoved by McClain's message, although he acknowledged the bankruptcy potential. DePace said his negotiators will retain a firm stance with Northwest on the issue of pensions.

"Thanks Northwest....we are so very weak. Please, please show us weak people how to take a stand when it is YOUR turn. Maybe we can learn from watching YOU. " Fly, you mis understood my intention. I praised that quote "in general" I think under the circumstances the FA's, and Mechanics at Ual have fought every step of the way without destroying their company. I for one will walk away when and if the thresh hold of the industry reaches wages that can be found else where, WHITHOUT facing the perks of terrorists and disease every time one goes to work. The jobs that airline people do are simply nothing less than amazing. They are responsible for the safety of hundreds of millions of lives when repairing or maintaining those airplanes, when flying those airplanes, when those airplanes face inflight emergencies, when those lives need saving because of tragic episodes of airplanes falling from the sky. We have walked the walk and talked the talk. We have been to the brink and back because of corporate greed. So, we do indeed know a thing or two about what is going on first hand. We have learned a thing or two about the "labor is the only way to save the company", but we MUST provide "retention bonuses" BS. This great nation is fast forgetting about its own citizens while worrying about everybody else’s. It is appalling that people (not just in the airline biz) work 30 and 40 years like a damn slave and get NOTHING for it. Guess we are leaning first hand what the tragic lives of the real American slaves where like. Only difference is they didn't have a union...they complained... lynch’em. As for our cash crunch...you are simply not in a position to waste precious time worrying about our potential bankruptcy. Save your little happy faces for next week (will ya be smiling if there is a strike). Don't even start down that road with NWA, cause it will be embarassing for you.

Will I be smiling if there is a strike? ummmm, no! I'll be at home fixing dinner. :jerry:

Now the brightest on Wall Street are saying what I said when I initially replied to this post....

"We mistakenly underestimated management's resolve in avoiding a filing last year, and believe that once again Delta will pull out all the stops possible to prevent a fourth quarter 2005/first quarter 2006 court appearance," Baker said

UH HUH>>>>>

the Avatar is way too much. What's in the galley for Barney's din-din if I should drop into your domicile this evening?

Nortwest,

How many airplanes have you guys co-joined at gates and ditches in the past 10 years? Do they teach taxiing 101 at some point?

Just kidding pal.

Listen. Godd luck. The chamber is being loaded for the next entrant. How is the AMFA going at NWA. Will COBRA strike again?
