CWA Tentative Agreement?

[sub]Please discuss the Ramp issues on the Fleet Service thread. This thread is for CWA/IBT agents to discuss their proposal.[/sub]

Per Eagles' request... I'm going to address the $401k VS Pension in the fleet thread with a retort to Nelsons last attempt to again discredit the pension plans...

Going by what has been going around FB and elsewhere, opinion is very negative. It would be nice if the Communications Workers union would do a little communicating and send out some solid info. Big issue seems to be protection from outsourcing.

We'll see once more info gets out.

Cant wait to get my hands on that language. I am sure there is alot of hidden verbage in it!

I printed out all 6 pages of the tentative aggreement. One of the best surprises (which we already figured out), The no furlough guarentee does not apply to employees who fail to exercise their seniority to the fullest extent possible to any position offered on the system. So if No Furlough = Displacement, what good is the no furlough guarentee??? So when the Vendors are fully trained, they will tell you that you have the HONOR to bump the junior agent in the system, where ever the junior agent happens to be on that given day. Maybe you live in SYR, and the junior agent in the system is in ABQ. Your choices would be ABQ or Furlough. It's not going to be Pretty.

turn down the contract send a large loud message to them crooks in tempe and al hemmingway that piss poor treatment ends now

That tentative sucks donkey. Unbelievable how terrible these pimp unions have sold out the middle class.
At united, the middle class rose up against the pimp union leaders and corporate greed. Not sure if the cwa members are as solid.
The dumb arse ibt/cwa says the company wont have any reason to bargain if loa gets voted down. Lmfao
Oh yeah, i guess that is why usairways reLly doesnt care about a seamless merger.

Whatever happened to protecting work? No furlough guarantees are BS. Fleet has had a 1999 no furlough since 1999 and it hasnt done D. Majority of workers from 1999 are gone along with over 60 stations.

On the other hand this could backfire in ah n their face w a resoundin no vote just think how embarass them a holes would be their faces would be beat red

They would not be embarassed. They would just go back to the table do some rewording add some to the pay. Eventually the the employees will vote in the contract the company wants.

Interesting. You didn't say a peep about the IAM T/A at UA and when asked your response was "the membership will decide" or "this is their first section 6 negotiations after bankruptcy" but you can't wait to drill into everyone how a similar agreement from the CWA is awful. If anything AA/US is happy, the AA agents will see what crappy agreements the CWA negotiates and hopefully fend off another election.
