Cwa Reaches A New Ta

🙂 A lot of buzz around the office today. Rumor has it an office will close and we will know which one by 01JAN05. Any Ideas on which one it will be?????????????????????????????

Instead of speculating on rumors, why not wait and read the T/A when it is available.

You can't be serious. That wouldn't be any fun at all. 😛

I just find it hysterical that details of the T/A haven't even been presented to CWA members yet and people on here are already talking about voting it down, speculate about office closures, complain about buyout's, etc....yet there is nothing in writing yet.

Take a deep breath, relax, wait until you can read for yourself what the T/A has to offer, THEN go ahead and rip it to shreds.

skyflyr69,

I would imagine the votes would pass with not so flying colors if it were only the money issue being involved...but frankly it's known to be way more than that.

Most all union members know without fail that any agreement comes with the factual pain of voting away their very jobs with the strings of outsourcing or technological issues replacing them in wholesale mass.

Again...if it was just the money? ..and it meant that everyone remained employed with only a lessor degree of income , it might pass? But with what the real ask is...you'll be hard pressed to find people clammoring to pass something that ends their job regardless.

The last issue is the actual concerns of the supposed buyouts we are hearing ruor of...what if you accept a buy out...and before it starts trickling in after being taxed into oblivion , then U still liquidates? Boy talk about get left holding an empty bag.

Nah, why ruin the christmas spirit, besides if they told you and it affected you, well, you "could" be home for Christmas!

As you know, I am the web master for www.cwalocal3640.com. I have already spoken to the Local office and they are trying to get me a copy of the TA to post on the web. The only copy they received was faxed to them and then they copied it to share with the res office. As soon as I get a formatted copy I will post it.
Thanks for your patience,
