Is there any AMFA AMT's here that can share with us how this strike is going for them that are actually on strike and haven't crossed the picket line?

As I stated before I am not in a union but still had a couple of questions....
I will give your questions a shot. I am sure I will be quickly corrected if I am wrong.
1) Do the strikers get any type of strike pay? If so, about how much?
Yes they do or did. I believe it was $100.00 a week providing they walked the picket line.
2) Are they allowed to collect unemployement? If so, how long?
The custodians/cleaners were allowed to collect unemployment by court order. I do not know how much it was. I am sure that it was the maximum allowed by the issuing state.
3) Do they have the option of continuing their health insurance?
I believe so but it is extremely expensive.
4) Do the union dues go into a fund and distributed to people still on strike?
AMFA did not have a strike fund. That is why they were asking for money form other unions and having support drives.
5) Does AMFA represent other airlines besides NWA for the mechanics?
Yes they do. I do not know which ones.
