CLT Gate Consolidation Timeline?

According to CLT Station Management at the last Town Hall meeting AA gate consolidation with US is being delayed until the new baggage system construction is complete.

More negotiations...   Last I heard CLT was looking for long term commitment prior to building the new Int'l terminal.   AAL wouldn't give it.    Not sure I blame them until such time that the whole discourse between who is going to run the airport becomes known.  
 
Why would you commit long term to something which the power to be could change and raise your costs by 100% etc..........

He does not understand airline economics and how profitable CLT - it's just his normal bashing of US
 
It's lost on some that regional jets are being replaced with mainline - which is better customer experience

He takes a very dim view of both US Airways and organized labor.  No idea why dislikes both so much.
