Can Us Airways Survive To Bid Castro Adieu?

yes usairways will survive because i believe it will! I'd believe that usairways even if it goes into backrupt it will re-emerge as a low cost carrier but a low cost one that serves a lot of international carribbean and latin america and cub routes--once castro is out

Castro has a brother, next in line, that's stuck on commie as well.
On the other hand, Cuba is the mother of all traffic in the Carb., if it ever wakes up.
We could have 100 or more flights in there in a couple of months if given the green light.

Forgive my ignorance, but are Cohiba's Cuban cigars? Is it legal to have or buy or sell Cuban products in the USA? Doesn't Dr. Bronner smoke Cohiba's?

I think the boycott on Cuban products has gone on long enough. Just my opinion...

Dea, vote Bush in for another four years and that is how long you will wait for the chance to walk along the malecon and smoke a real cuban cigar. Vote for Kerry, and it should come quite a bit sooner. There is no way in hell that Shrub would ever dare tick off the Anti-Castro crowd in Miami, so that is why he would never allow it.

El Gato,

I'd never vote for Bush, believe me. I'm one of the many "Anybody But Bush Again" crowd.

I'm more interested in smoking guns than cigars, but thanks for the nice visual! Picturing me strolling along, blowing smoke rings made me laugh! Thanks!

Perhaps one of our resident PhotoShop artists can do a creative exercise: Marge Simpson and the Cohiba!

Bush is not as popular as he was with the Cubans in Miami. The hold up for travel to the island has been the house. The senate has opened travel in bills, two different times that I know of. Never gets through the GOP house. They love the idea they are fighting communism.

Yes, you can have Cuban cigars and other products. Easiest ways to get them. Catch the people arriving back from the island on one of the Miami flights, go to a different island or country. Order through the Internet. Just have to watch out for a customs seizure. The only place you cant walk in to a store and get them is the US.

You can also just get a Dominican cohiba. The quality is said to be better than the Cubans these days. Most tobacco was seeded from original Cuban tobacco.

El Gato,
If Kerry wins, and carries Fla., we won't see a change in policy vs. Cuba. Part of his first day in office will be laying the road for his second election.
We can allways dream though.
