as for the election dates is it aug 12 that the results will be announced as i believe its suppose to begin july 8 or something like that for the M&R
 
One thing some of you that will be voting might want to think about is your lifetime recall rights. That will most likely disappear if and when a New Teamster CBA would be reached. That's pretty much an IAM thing as well as using your seniority to bump the system wherever your seniority can take you in the event of a reduction in force. The IAM contract does not take into account station seniority. Given the fact of the potential size and scope of being the largest airline in the world. Given the fact that eventually some time in the near future that status should relate to the next wage rate increase. Some of you on the outside looking in might want to seriously consider your future status at the New AMR. It is highly likely that once removed from active status for a period of 5 years you will be taken off the seniority list for good.

On tonight's conference call, it was clearly stated by Buffy and Shifano it the IAM is voted out the IAMNPF stops immediately.

I wouldnt expect buffy to say anything else, given the politics involved.
If it stops then it will only be because of actions by the iampf trustees as the trustees have the full powers to leave them in.
The problem with what buffy said isnt in writing. If true then i couldnt see one mx at amr voting for the iam since buffy is saying the iam will hold its members hostage.
Many mx at amr are still hopeful of amfa at a later date so they would never vote for the iam if they knew that once they went iam that the iam would hold their pensions hostage.
Disappointing to hear buffy said that but not uncommon for elections. Time will resolve it regardless.

The IAMNPF is in the contract. The contract remains in force until a new agreement is voted in by the membership no mater what union is representing M&R. How can the IAM claim the IAMNPF stops immediately? If so what happens to the money that Usairways is mandated by the contract to deposit in the name of each employee?

Did you not read the letter from the plan stating that if the IAM is decertified there will no longer be in the plan for the future contributions?
