Looks/Reads like the first of many airline consultant's "detailed" analysis of the Southwest/AirTran merger. Lots of information available on the link below (1st 25 pages of the 30 paged link). I've always liked the Boyd Group and I believe them to be the best airline consultant firms in the industry. Apparently, they've done work for Southwest in the past. Lots of number and opinions (like MKE being eliminated as a connecting hub)

Makes sense about MKE. AirTrunk only went in there to strike at the heart of Midwest and get their hostile takeover which failed ceremoniously. Southwest is only eliminating the competition by getting Valujet. And I will believe a 717 in Southwest colors when I see it.
