Avp Mainline/express City Getting Big Jet Back

In the first several cities (thru the round that included MEM, BTV, STL, BHM) that went "mainline express", the inside (CWA) agents had the option to stay at the "mainline express" pay and benefit scale, but the outside (IAM) agents did not since there was no such provision in their contract.
The ramp functions in those cities were contracted out.

Has anything changed in this regard? Someone told me that MKE has IAM agents working at "mainline express" pay. If this is the case. has the IAM made any effort to put their people back on the ramp in the original "ME" cities?

DCMS,
The story I was told was that after the Mainline Express provision was negotiated and then ratified in January of this year, the IAM went to the company and asked that stations like MEM who were going to become express in February,be covered by the same agreement. The company refused, saying that their station closing was announced before the Mainline Express provision had been ratified. In effect US Airways said too bad... You lose. Another shining example of our LABOR Friendly management. MKE and CLE were the first stations for FleetService to be covered under the Mainline Express banner.
