My co-worker recently flew USAirways for business from AVL-CLT-PVD. He was very satisfied with his flights. The flights were on-time, bags there when he went to get them. Only complaint was full airplanes. The return flight was oversold, so he opted for the later flight for a future free RT certificate. He was very happy with the service. I asked the secretary here who she regularly books flights with and she said US and DL. I asked if there were any complaints and she said none to date, and she would have heard if there were.

My boss is flying next Wednesday through PHL to Rome. I'll let you know how the flights went when she returns.

I thought you all might like a little good news. I'm sure this happens a lot, but doesn't get the press that a bad flight experience does.

i cannot wait to hear the review on the dave's donut arrival service...
that will be spectacular pr for parker's "new" usairways!!
unless, of course, she is traveling in (diluted) envoy? again, and regardless, fabulous pr to convince premium travelers to book away from us!!
enjoy your flight!!

i have flown through PVD many times over the years.. those folks are great with the customers and they treat non revs like gold they know whats it like to travel nonrev and they do well there always have full flights all the time and overall great employees if you ever have to go into PVD they will take care of you rev or non rev

I realize I'm slightly prejudiced...but I believe the PVD team of G/A and on the ground might be the best in the biz. They simply take care of everyone there, as stated, revenue or non-rev.

Thats why I went ballistic on some other jackal posting "easties should go away." Having been darned near everywhere in the system...I'm hard pressed to find a more impressive crew. But lets face it, US is LOADED with good people in the ground and in the air. Thats the part thats upsetting...that a management team can come in and wreak havoc on what these good people do.

I flew US PVD-RDU via PHL and the crews were simply awesome. And in PVD, they have to bust a$$ to get that flight out so it could get to PHL on time. Great effort. And the Steeler's plane looked nice on the outside AND on the inside.

I will bet those in PVD have more than a few months senority. Thats what the sandcastle just don't get. Most of us chose to be in this industry. We are here because we want to be here. We know our jobs and we do them well. If we are treated like we should be treated with respect and dignity it is no telling where this company will go. The most amazing thing is it would make Dougweiser more money.

EXCUSE ME.. the PVD is a very SENIOR STATION. the top guy has 1967 seniorty.. the lowest senior 1988... MR Seth Schofield a past CEO of USAIR began his career as a ramp agent in PVD in the 60 s.. under 1988 there are new hires of course. there are ALOT of SENIOR agents in PVD you need to get your attitude somewhere else. I know im in customer service and nonrev out of PVD im not some kind of companion pass person... i have 31 years with this company myself i know them.

Avion thats my point exactly. Experenced personel are a very valuble asset.

Aren't the two of you saying the exact, same thing?

I'm a ramper. But I think the most experenced personal should be in customer service. Don't get me wrong experence pays off on the ramp too. But how long can I move 10,000 's of pounds. Yes thats plural. Depends on where you work. I am gambling my future well being ever day at work. At one time transfering to customer service was an option. I have learned to do my job and do it well. After 20 plus years I have learned a thing or two. I too am a valuble asset.
