That sounds like a statement from a Mesa pilot who has always known that being able to leapfrog in seniority was impossible at the two legacy carriers.

Do East pilots ever ask for a jumpseat from a Mesa pilot while trying to leapfrog home to BFE, PA, NC?

I doubt it.....the hassle is not worth it. Off line is usually a better choice. You just never know if they will be taking pictures while you are sleeping.

Just hard to trust, ya know? Personally, I avoid the hassle even though most of you guys are probably straight up. You guys do have your reputation in that area, right? Why wait around for a JS when the West Cpt might deny a ride.

I guess my statement is pulling the Mesa boys outta the woodwork.

Deny jumpseats on this forum, fine.

On the line, not a good idea. Just sayin.

International flight and the captain is taking his break in seat 1A crew rest seat. A west guy takes a picture of the captain on his break. Lets call the west pilot sneaky Pete. So PB photo boy submits photo to the company and Captain gets called on the carpet for being out of uniform. East guys watch your backs.

Hate
Last time I saw this Captain, he was wearing black pants with a blue sweater, no tie and sporting boat shoes. He is not required to be in uniform on break so I don't know how he could get called on the carpet for that, but he is required to show up in one. Don't know if that happened or not. In any case, why would a pilot take pictures of someone else on break other than to cause trouble? Tell that POS with the camera to mind his own business...

As absolutely stupid as it is, the policy is that pilots must remain in uniform when taking their break in the cabin. Tie, rank insignia, the whole works. Technically, the uniform includes shoes.

Stop whining. Once again it was the east that started it.

East jump seater taking pictures of a radar in flight, this was almost 6 years ago. Turned in a west crew.

East pilot took a picture of what he said was ice and turned in a west crew because they did not deice. Except it was not ice and the weather could not produce ice or frost. The pilots still got called in and has to defend themselves.

Stop playing the victim when it is you easties that are the evil.
