Amfa Allows Outsourcing To Continue

Help us all if you ever get in a position to represent anyone. you will be the first to allow unlimited outsourcing at AA.

And what is the current limit on outsourcing provided by the almighty TWU at AA? Then only "limit" you have is company union concessions to beg for jobs.

I believe your own quarterly reporting requirement does NOT even include Heavy Overhaul now does it?

The way I read that Document, from 1999 when the 25 Reno Aircraft were placed under AA Operations thru December of 2001.

AAR did the heavy maintenance on 25 Aircraft.

And now, they are about do even more heavy maintenance for lease return Heavy C Checks.

How many TWU Mechanics are currently laid-off from Tulsa, MCI, and AFW while this outsourcing is happening right under your nose CIO?

AMFA was to be the end all to both of these cancers at NWA.

1. Because AMFA has an attorney that will be right beside us to stop this stuff.
2. Because the AMFA doesn't have the overhead (McCormick "management" services) like a district to hold us back monetarily.
3. Because Dell sezzzzzzzzzz so.....

AA currently has 19.9% farmout rate. This has been consistant for the last 20 years or more and in fact has been reduced.

Currently AA is the only Airline that has set the stage for the employees to have an oppurtunity to be recalled.

The 3 Unions at AA have done an excellant job in preserving this oppurtunity for its members.

If AMFA gets a favorable decision from the Arbitrator on Force Majuere RIF's, more AMT's from NWA will be recalled sooner and at better pay/benefit rates than than AA will offer anytime between now 2009.

Try applying the AMFA/NWA farmout tracking formula to AA, instead to using the company reported Form41 and ECLAT Company Finance Advisor formula.

I believe the significant word here is IF!!! How long has this been going on? I hear that it's not going so well, and if history repeats itself it won't be good at all. There were very similar cases that were heard a while back and what were the outcomes of those????? HMMMM, makes ya' wonder. . .

Isn't it funny how TWU supporters started this thread for the sole purpose of slamming AMFA at ALASKA. They got their ass whipped and now have to change the subject to another airline. When will the TWU be going to arbitration about the illegal layoffs at AA? When will the TWU get people recalled so I don't have to look at the FELON KIRK WELLS everyday or feed that TWU guy living in his pickup truck?

I tend to agree with you, but Kirk does bring this activity upon himself.

He is not the most professional mouthpiece you guys could come up with.

I think the lie about having an A&P is what started the whole thing, had he not outright lied like many TWU supporters, and subsequently been nominated or appointment the leader of TEAM TWU in Tulsa at the September 12th info meeting, then maybe he would be just another guy with a bad history.

I do however, find it interesting that you and others sling personal attacks in writing and distribute the material freely in Tulsa, but somehow on Public Bulletin Board, you are opposed to such activity.

On December 4, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Percella Roper, former bookkeeper for Transport Workers (TWU) Local 234, was sentenced to six months home confinement and five years probation for embezzlement and aiding and abetting. She was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $98,132 which will come from her union pension, including a $20,000 payment to be received by the court within five days of the sentencing. On June 10, 2003, Roper was indicted on one count of embezzlement and one count of aiding and abetting in the embezzlement. She pled guilty on September 4, 2003. The sentence follows an investigation by the Philadelphia District Office of the U.S. Ofc. of Labor Mgmt. Standards. [OLMS, 12/15/03]
