American Freighter Callsign

A real blast from the past: back around the 70's when AA operated the 747s and 707s as American Freighter, did they have a different Callsign/ICAO or were they just AAL flights?

first WB freighter I ever saw was a AA 74 in EWR...

Why would they have a different one?

Different planes, all cargo ops. ie Lufthansa Cargo has a different callsign and ICAO code than Lufthansa

They were a 4 digit 9000 series number.

LH Cargo is on a separate certificate if I recall. AA's operated on the same cert, so would assume the same call sign, just like Northwest and United used on their dedicated freighters.
