American Airlines is pondering a low cost carrier using a shortened version of the flag carrier's name. The new carrier will be called AMEN Airlines. Details are sketchy, but it is believed that the new carrier will compete with a pulpit fare structure. 😛

Another person posting information that's not true! AA has no plans now or in the future to operate an LCC within AA. We basically already have one with Eagle!
