American Airlines is pondering a low cost carrier using a shortened version of the flag carrier's name. The new carrier will be called AMEN Airlines. Details are sketchy, but it is believed that the new carrier will compete with a pulpit fare structure. :p

Cute, but would be rather redundant, since the main carrier itself is driving the airline down into a LCC by choice.

Very funny!!! :D . Seriously though to think of it I believe that this could be a market for an airline to go after since they are quite a few die hard christians living in the U.S.

Another person posting information that's not true! AA has no plans now or in the future to operate an LCC within AA. We basically already have one with Eagle!

Hmmm...that couldn't be because more than three-quarters of its nonstop domestic routes face junkfare, commodity carrier competition, could it?
