Nah.

It’s nice of you to look out for him, but he announced who he was (like he always does) with the content he posts.

Still subjective but don’t worry Kevin there’s thankfully no prerequisite in life to have to make your way through it with any class.

Carry on.

Yet we would all prefer to stay in AAs underfunded pension vs the IAM's underfunded pension. There are plenty of reasons to remain.

Would you opt out of Social Security and Medicare if you could?

Those programs also are supposedly underfunded.

Multiple legs on that stool kids. The only chance at retirement survival is multiple legs on that stool.

You don’t have a choice, your frozen pension isnt accurring a single penny for you or anyone else since the date of the freeze.

You can’t opt out or in of your frozen pension

92% funded IAMNPF, AA’s frozen pension 63% funded to a tune of $7 billion underfunded, TWU’s portion is $2 billion underfunded.
the IAM pension WAS 92% funded last year but it's in the 80s now and dropping fast. The only reason why it is 92% is because it eliminated 1.5 billion of our benefits, otherwise it would be worse off than all other pensions and only funded at 45%. Obviously, it wasn't going to let it get that low so it pre-empted and took aggressive actions against the participants. Sorta like an insurance company that denies benefits. You keep avoiding the question though. The question remains, is the IAM pension bosses going to whack the unreduced plan or set up an elimination of benefit schedules again? And do we know for sure if they aren't still using our cash for wine?

Once again you are not an IAM Member nor do you speak for nor do you represent the members.

Is the IAM/IAMNPF on the hook for the under funded amount or can they unilaterally cut benefits?

As a Plan Participant, I would like to know what’ll happen if it doesn’t make the cut for your JCBA, and/or if DL workers secure representation, but give the IAMNPF a hard pass (or both).

I believe there are over 100,000 active plan participants? Perhaps you should contact the plans trustees by either phone or E Mail and direct your queries to them rather than asking one lone participant who perhaps has his personal theories on your questions?

I would suspect since you are a plan participant yourself your responses will be quite accommodating and thorough.

I did exactly that. The data available (both publicly) and to Participants only paints a pretty bleak picture, and one far different from the “we’re in the green!” flyer most people seem to take for granted.

Good job carrying “Sito’s” water, Dave.

according to the iam trustee actuaries, short term, something has to give. If just a few thousand leave the pension it will be sunk and we are hosed quicker..But they can eliminate $1 billion plus by eliminating the unreduced. So i think we are safe for now, provided we work till 65

I'm not sure if he actually makes the meals as he isn't too creative. But it's a family business and was told that he works for his dad and float around directing the workers on restocking the food and cleanup.
They have the typical pasta, chicken, green bean plates, then they have 'the works' where the salisbury steak gets rolled out according to a dude who said he used them. Service wasn't bad.

But, the reality is that he is a businessman and refuses to recognize a union for his workers. He is the classic Republican. And that's my point. If he is going to talk so much crap about members who don't fall in line, it needs to be pointed out that he NOT only isn't paying dues but he operates a scab outfit. And that's just simply wrong.
Republican Rich no way ,,way way wsy to the left

I’d be willing to bet there’s not a single union catering company in the state of N.C. or catering union trying to organize any of them, typical TN bs
There is so much to learn and to stay on top of in the catering business why would he come here and put this effort and time into something he left 20 years ago i dont get it especially since he could preach till hes blue in the face and we would still never agree ...ever
