You just made a case on how someone can lose respect because of their written words. If they're intentionally misleading then you can lose respect and credibility.

Your actions, including your written words, can absolutely influence whether your have credibility and in turn respect.
The original post was about respect being EARNED... not LOST...

NYer actually once “earned” my respect. But then over time by his own actions which are continuing he lost my respect.

Respect shouldn’t be handed out easily and cheaply.

From the content of the vast majority of his replies, it appears he is also perpetuating the Divisional Agenda that many here are submitting. That makes me ask this simple question... "What are their REAL motives"?

I don't think anyone here can make any difference with an agenda of any kind. It's the situation itself that divides. Airline mergers with different work groups are just difficult. You have to look at the position of all involved and it's easy to see the problems. It just seems there is a lot of strange stuff when airlines merge.

Actually, you have good point. Mergers between airlines with different unions, no unions, or any variation thereof, have the advantage AFTER the cultures are immersed. The Division is inherited from within.

However, The Company knows that division is beneficial to prolonging negotiations, and creating animosity between members, and their respective unions(s)...
The "Agenda" only comes into play when one is attempting to exasperate this situation. Now... we know the company benefits from this division financially, so I'm certain they would attempt to perpetuate it through any legal channels available to them.

Why not? --It's a lot of bang for their buck!

There's been division since the fall of 2014.

There's been division since the fall of 2014.

The division would be among the rank and file who were promised a vote for the Association that they never received and were lied to that they would. Had Little and Buffy explained that a vote likely would not be required there would have been less division.

“The Associations requested on August 16, 2014 that the NMB make a determination of single carrier status for all classes and crafts covered by the Employee Associations.”

To this day not even ONCE have you ever admitted that that was a terrible mistake. You expect that people should have just merrily marched along to the whims of your puppet Masters.

Dude, are you serious?

You admittedly work for AA in a represented workgroup -- This means that your entire career is governed by the Railway Labor Act. The National Right to Work legislation that the Trump GOP is working on, will weaken, and eventually eliminate this law altogether.

This pending legislation could very well be the reason the company is in no hurry for a JCBA, and prefers a lengthy Section 6...

If you think you are not affected, I suggest you do some research.

Meanwhile at the Carrier Plant, workers are finding out that trump is dishonest and no friend to organized labor

"‘I voted for Trump … I believed him … I now feel betrayed. I feel angry and I feel forgotten.’ — This former Carrier employee is railing against Trump after he promised to save her job"

Too many good quotes to post but worth a read.

The division isn't inherited, it is inherent.
Dissonant voices between the TWU and IAM.
Dissonant voices between MX and Fleet.

Sad.

So, I have it on a reliable source that Sito was hanging out at a bar in the Lobby of the Mirage Hotel in Vegas.
I guess our boy went out to the TCU convention.

So much for negotiations.

Sad

The company doesn't want division and wants a united worked force and a contract done. that is all just your unions propaganda.

Is the first official communication from the newly self appointed leader of the Association?
What is "Sad" is the folks like you that inflame the disgruntlement ,with spun divisional rhetoric for personal reasons...
