American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

Some say here that it's in the Association rules that yes indeed, there has to be unanimous consent to put out something for a vote. But then I have also read here that the Executive Committee could bypass the NC and force a vote...I honestly don't know.
When was the last time the negotiating committee negotiated.

If a final or last offer is presented there are many factors to consider that can influence a vote.

W has been sharing many opinions on negotiations where he's been flat out wrong and he's also on the wrong side of this opinion.

It isn't sustainable to just say "no" indefinitely.
What does that say about the Weezs credibility?I love Bob and the Weez, in that order

Maybe we can get CB or P. Rez to come on here and divulge that info. I think now when you say negotiating committee, you need to clarify. The NC is what I assume you are talking about. I think CB and maybe P. Rez would argue that if they are not directly in negotiations they are still updated.
So to answer your question, I don't know.

Mission Impossible.

Should you choose to take the bait Mr Phelps (NYer) I cant be held responsible for the consequences of my next actions towards you.

Best of you to just let it pass man.

I have been reading through many pages on various opinions on LUS insurance, whether a last best offer comes, etc.

Disclaimer notice: These are just hypothetical thoughts running through my mind. These are not being discussed to my knowledge. I'm only mentioning to show there are ways to work through obstacles in negotiations. These rough numbers are Fleet only.

Regarding all IAM/TWU members having LUS insurance, the company has stated it would cost $39 million per year. Profit sharing equals $13 million based on last years numbers. For every $.10 an hour in wages, $3 million per year.

The point I'm trying to make is even if we were unable to successfully negotiate more money than what the company is offering, there are still ways to achieve goals. As for my opinion on whether the company needs to add more money to the pot, yes they do!!

If they present a final or last offer there is a 50/50 chance for a vote.

If they don't present a final or last offer we're going to Section 6.
technically, there are only last final offers under nlra, or only before a cooling off (bankruptcy excepted). But in reality, the decision you are alluding to, and weez cant grasp, is to have the "Last best offer" voted upon by the members. Weez is clueless on the constitution which only allows the negotiation team a vote if there is a TA.

I can tell everyone, 100%,, that Fly told me with certainty that that is the intended route that was discussed most recently and my hunch is that the company is expecting such as Fly said it also shared "risk" to the Association (Phl, CLT, DCA, LGA, and some TWU stations) in section 6 negotiations, including a possible lengthy delay as the company refocuses on other groups coming back up.
NYer is right, even though it is discouraging for me, weez, and all iam.
Consider all of the above as 3rd hand hearsay.

There is the negotiating committee and the executive committee.I think they both eat out alot

I promised myself I wouldn't get you riled. You get too emotional but I wasn't going anywhere with it anyway besides NYer pretty much summed it up

so you are saying that Sito will give up our profit sharing on the lus side to keep current health care? Why would we have to give anything up at all? We havent given up anything in 4 years to keep it, why concede?

Then you had to of seen the rumor W received from his "Fly". What are your thoughts on the IAM keeping their insurance and the TWU saddled with the cost they are at right now. Would that be something you could accept?

He probably doesn't know much more than you

Of course you would spin, I'm saying there are ways around problems. I'm all for making the company give more to the overall pot. The stance has been and continues to be add more money the last I heard. What part of disclaimer did you not understand?
