Not sure if the gov. failed to see this, or if AA or ALK failed to see this, or who failed to see it at this time. Too early to tell at this point. Not even sure if ties to terrorist organizations are even a factor in a background check. I would hope that now days it would be. However, when I was hired it was understood the background check pretty much looked at 5 years of driving records and 10 years of criminal records. After 9-11, we all got the lifetime background check as you all know. Still not sure if even those were detailed enough to look at interest from other countries including terrorist areas and their connections.
I would love to interview the gov about how, and how "deep" these background checks go. Know what I mean???

I would like to know how thorough a back ground check goes to a recently immigrated person from.a 3rd world country thats in.the middle of a civil war.Theres some of those manning the doors

Of course not. Where you been? The meeting dates were from 16th-19th. 4 days scheduled, first day started at 1pm, so half day there, then 2 full days, then final day probably ended early, another half day in order to get all folks back to there home destinations. Fri was no scheduled meetings from the get go. Where did you get that they would be nego Fri.? Again, helloooooooo?

And yes I do have your best interest in mind. As I do all the other fleet that I represent. Most believe that, but most of the dozen or so of fleet on here ( if that many ) do not. Nothing I can say to change that. So it is what it is.
But tell me? Have you ever met Sito? Why do you have a problem with him negotiating for fleet?

But payment from last September that we did not get a raise up until we reach an agreement? Yes. Some call that retro, but it’s not. So not sure if that’s what you meant.
But that’s only my opinion since you ask.

Really? You guys should be preaching full retro. Cannot allow the companies to get away with dragging the nego's out for so many years to their benefit. It's full retro or no deal, period!!!

He asked me what I believe we will get.
Not what we are asking for. Do you know what full retro means? And do you know how many contracts out there today has full retro.
So question for you! If you got all that your asking for in a contract including scope and insurance and profit sharing, but you didn’t get retro, would you vote to bring it out for a vote? Or would you not because you didn’t get retro?

Hell all they did was indict a ham sandwich with Samuelson providing the ham!
All the stand down BS provided by the union was entertainment,,,, for the “Company”.
I don’t know of ONE mechanic that knew of a job action in progress, sponsored by the ass or an unsanctioned one by rogue individuals. If the ass can’t defend itself against a fictitious and bogus claim it’s because of one individual that let his emotions get the best of him. That particular moment in time sealed the asses fate and gave the company a scape goat.
