American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

There is an article at The Dallas Morning News just published. The title says American Airlines demands mechanics union pay for enormous financial loses. Its time for a new union. The Association has no clue how to represent us. Where can we get cards
Having no clue is the Associations specialty. I don't think they have a clue to even deal with each other or we wouldn't have this mess.

its all pretty clear now. Most likely:
1. union required to now fine members.
2. Union wont fine members, so it will be forced upon an agreement with the company within 30 days, if not on the 14th.
3. The agreement will most likely NOT be a TA. The agreement will be a procedural agreement, ie., let members vote and if rejected then go to arbitration.

If the union fines the membership will they bring Election Cards with them?

I don't think they even bothered exchanging phone numbers. The iam's might be unlisted....

It seems like with all these court actions the company wants to force a vote on the contract.
It’s seems they are done with the games the ASS has been playing.
So if they don’t put it out there you can bet we will but completely screwed

It's a win/win for the company.

Hopefully they help abolish this abortion called "The Association" as it really is unproductive for both parties.

The only way it seems they can force a vote, and then arb, is if they waive the court case.
However, it has become apparent that the afl is at play against American, ie., samuelson coordinating with the halfling contract catering.
Thus the company may recognize the corporate campaign and decide to hold on to its ace and have the fines triple.
Notice, the slowdown was said to be continuing. The meter would be running and imo the union REALLY needs to tap out. But with samuelson apparently at the dfw rally, he could be defying orders.

Why is he F"ing around with the contract help that may take over our catering jobs?

What, you didn't see that coming?

What's the ASSes next blunder gonna be?

Where is Charlie Baskett-case Brown when you need him? Hope all these guys get thrown outta office. Almost all of them are a complete waste of space

Did I not read in this article that AA is asking for $$$ to compensate them for their losses? This could get huge for the asso. Sounds like this is just beginning. And yes as someone has pointed out, a class action lawsuit could very well come from customers against the asso. and maybe even include AA as well and let them fight it out even more in the courts. That would be man, many more $$$$$ the asso would have to fork out. Maybe AA and the customers will forgive the asso. if they come to an agreement and it is voted in? Naaaah. I seriously doubt that...

American says mechanics caused 950 cancellations in 2 months, asks judge for sanctions
