So somebody rights the word FACT over and over again should be the end all? Kind of hypocritical that they want us to call the company's proposal a bunch of lies but yet blindly believe the union's FACTS?
This is why the negotiators should request a full text proposal to let the members read for themselves the details. I am not saying a vote, but let us all see what EXACTLY the details are....unless, of course, the union does not trust the membership to make an informed decision?

+1 to all of that. Informed members are empowered members.

If it's as bad as the Association says, then the membership will let them know in fairly short order. Moreover, they will likely see a lot more active support than they do now?

I.
So the IAM is just as crooked as the teamsters. Get rid of these mofo industrial unions guys. When will you all learn???
filthy crooked. They are stealing our money.
IEven stealing from our contract. More concerned with future headcount than taking care of current members.
If the association doesnt recommend the last offer, and it gets rejected, then the association will be thru. 100% because it wont be able to deliver if it gets the rejection it wants.

FACT: we did not get to vote on this ASSociation

Better yet...DEMAND the full text proposal, VOTE on it, and if it is as bad as they say, the members will reject it.
Or maybe that is what the ASSociation is afraid of?

W, you're infatuation with this guy really is getting a bit much. Any male who would post a pic of another male as many times as you have has to be infatuated. At least it's not another pic of 700 sitting in a empty union hall leading nobody. And before you get on to me for slamming someone who is not even here, remember, I tried numerous times to engage him yet according to you, YOU had him muzzled and would not let him reply to me...lol.
But seriously, the guy you idolize thinks he knows whats best for 130,000 employees and will only let them use their collective voices when HE say's it's OK. The man is not even in the industry and only observes from afar, by his own admission. That's sounds as though he is only doing what's best for the TWU and not the membership. That's not a union, that's a crooked organization and their money grab. Again, what he is relaying is even if the Exec Negotiators, Negotiating committee, deem it fair enough to put out for a vote, he is not if he doesn't like it. Too much power in my opinion.

To me, all of this is very simple. We (all of us in the association) are headed for an impasse with AA.
We should all be prepared or quickly preparing for that eventuality.
The association saying get ready is not a scare tactic, if you are taking it that way that is a foll hardy choice.
It is, I believe, getting close to time for the Mediator to declare it. And that's that.
The mechanics of the situation take over and the clock starts.
Get ready...

Ok can you write a post directed at me without it being attack. That’s the main reason I’m finally complying to my own list of ignored posters. Enough with the F’n personal attacks here all the time.

The man is whether you like it or not the President of the TWU and his signature will go on our Contracts.

And absolutely not if the Executive Negotiators bring it to the Negotiating Committee and they all say whatever it is should be put out for a vote will the guy be a Dictator and say no.

But they also aren’t going to put anything out unless they’re all on the same page to do so, irregardless of the individuals out there who want them to do otherwise.

Basically people pushing and annoying them isn’t going to make them jump through hoops.

April is going to tell the tale what happens next? Either it’s going to be a long hot summer or the Company is going to start to move off their take it or leave it proposal coming up on almost a year now.

The Union has said they’re not going to negotiate against themselves and that means it’s the Company’s turn to make a move.

Negotiating works both ways.

I read the letter the Association recently put out. The company said there is a possibility they would address the medical insurance for the membership again. I personally feel the company knows that summer is coming and does not want any disruption. Just another stall tactic to get through the busiest time of year. I say step up the work smarter and safer program. The only thing the company see’s is lost income. Stay strong and continue to do your job and AA will feel the wrath!

I am particular to the Teamsters, but AMFA made it happen. They will only make that decision when, they decide and act as a group for real change. Sometimes I think fear holds them back will our own Union independent have enough money to fight American, or are we better off with what we know.

I believe the post is that may be the NMB would declare an impasse given neither side willin to budge. Potentially 30 day cool off period cld start. And or strike vote n vote on the so called proposal. Its a Jerry Labor Busting Stall type tatic that those flipin arse clowns are so used to doing at LUS and other air carriers. It cld also be may be the NMB may get mgmt n labor together for all night sessions. Who knows. On other hand i seriously doubt the current administration wld allow the largest air carrier to go on strike but stranger things have occurred
