In the last two weeks, we've seen a seven year old killed in a drive-thru at a Chicago McDonalds and a three year old in Miami was killed at his own birthday party...

There's also been a one year old, six year old and seven year old hit by gunfire just in Miami over the last year...

In Chicago, it's six kids shot in seven weeks (three died including the girl at the drive thru).

I suspect I know why you don't want to focus on those...it breaks your narrative.

So why are we so fixated on rifles, now called assault weapons, which really aren't, yet your media has fed you another misinformation campaign, once again for an obvious agenda.

'Assault' weapons are one of the, if not ,the most popular firearms

in the country. So you have a large portion of the populace, armed to the teeth, well within their constitutional rights, to be the 'balance' for tyranny.

And our government is doing their best to limit and confiscate these weapons.

That's because Chicago seems to be the gun crime capitol of the country.

I'd say 183 gun deaths and 195 homicides four months into the year is a pretty damning statistic.

How to fix Chicago?...

More policing.

More immigration enforcement. Deport the cartel influences and others without citizenship who have grossly violated their welcome in this country.

Designate gangs as domestic terrorists. That gets more help from DHS and the FBI to help infiltrate and dismantle the gang networks nationwide.

Bring back capital punishment in Illinois... The violence has only increased since it was abolished because there's little consequence and prison is like Club Med to most of those convicted.

To KC's inevitable "thoughts and prayers" nonsense about not going after their guns.... they already have their guns illegally. I don't think more laws will work given how many they already violate.

Will they do 'universal background checks' on a guy that knows he can't pass one and buys one in a parking lot or a bar?
You do know if a person who has prior legal issues and is found not to be able to purchase a firearm and attempts to, just bought a free ride back to the joint, don't you?

Again, another law/requirement against law abiding citizens...what about the real criminal?

When are they going to approach the issue of criminals committing crimes with firearms and not further restricting law biding citizens?

YEp...somebody might buy one in a parking lot at a bar, so let's do nothing. You know...it might stop SOME from buying one at a bar and taking it to ...gasp...Chicago. And it's already been suggested to crack down on criminals in Chicago, so why not extend that crackdown to include bar parking lot gun sellers. You STILL haven't offered up one single thing to stop mass shootings or even one thing to stop a teenager from being shot and killed (even outside of the Chicago city limits). You just point out the flaw in ANY suggestion...and because it isn't 100% perfect - dismiss it completely.

It would be nice to equate the restrictions on driving a car to the lack of restrictions to own a gun. And we are told that driving is a privilege and not a right. But voting is a right...just like owning a gun. Except to vote, I have to register. To vote, I have to have a card. Many states are changing the laws so that if I want to vote, I have to get a photo ID. I have to jump thru hoop after hoop to cast a vote. But in many "constitutional carry" states, I can buy a gun (with zero training) and anything else is punishing law abiding citizens. Why are we so willing to punish so many law abiding citizens for something that is even rarer than a school yard shooting (voter fraud)? How come you guys are supporting of THAT infringement of a persons rights?
