FYI:

Thank you for calling in, this is the USAPA phone message for Wednesday, December 5th 2007.

We received notice from the NMB that states they will give the existing bargaining agent until December 17th to study the single-carrier issue. You can view the NMB letter here.

As a reminder, USAPA leaders, volunteers and attorneys will be in Philadelphia to meet with US Airways pilots at the airport Marriott on Monday, December 10th between 0800 and 1900. This will provide Philadelphia-based pilots and other pilots passing through with a valuable opportunity to take the measure of this new union and to share your thoughts with the USAPA leadership.

USAPA needs your assistance. A working group has been created to keep an eye on the industry, our airline and events related to the pilot representation campaign at US Airways. If you come across useful information, please forward it to [email protected]

Thank you for calling in and thank you for your continuing support.

Then you haven't read anything else I've written. I'm a pragmatist. Even though I'm part of a class-action lawsuit against ALPA I rejoined upon getting hired at AWA. It would not have served my purposes not to. The vice-chair of the AWA Merger Committee is another ex-TWAer but he had gone into bad standing by stopping his ALPA dues. He rejoined ALPA (by paying back dues) so that he could be appointed to the Committee and did an outstanding job representing our interests. When one has two bad choices one chooses the lesser.I'll take your bet and win big. When the economy turns south no union will perform substantially better than the others. I've been an ALPA member at three different carriers, a Teamster, and an APA member, so I can safely say they're all equally screwed-up, none better that the next. Expecting an upstart union to solve all our profession's problems is pure wishful thinking. Even so, I might still be convinced to vote in another union if it weren't dedicated to screwing me. I'd be surprised if even 1% of the AWA pilots vote for USAPA. Would you bet against that?

Former TWA website exb717 belongs to.

Another former TWA website

ex b717 wants it both ways, he is a TWA victim against ALPA, but he is pro
ALPA because he is a pilot for America West Airlines now.

All for one and all for me hypocrite.

The new definition of a "pragmatist", my daddy and mommy paid for my education and I think that included experiences in life. I am therefore, I am.

FYI:

Fellow pilot,

Just a reminder, as part of our ongoing effort to disseminate correct information to you efficiently and in a timely manner, we will be scheduling a series of road shows throughout the system. The first one will be held at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott on Monday, December 10th from 0800-1900.

Available to take your questions will be two of USAPA's attorneys along with your USAPA volunteers. Get the real facts from these individuals.

We'll see you there and we thank you once again for your continued support.
