Aircraft maint issues

Again the industry reset/adjustment is most likely just a farce, company wrote it, but its supposed to be an average of Delta and American (Total Compensation). For anything to do with contracts they say Southwest isnt a real airline and its never considered. And if they were adding up Delta compensation they wouldnt add in their true profit sharing amount but they would sure add whatever UA guys get for comparison.

Right now UA line mech dayshift is 48.33 plus a $1.20 hr tax free veba towards benefit costs for 40 hrs a week only. Later this month the approx 48 cents per hour will be added to the 48.33.
I dont know about amfa here,,, for a while there were some low timers trying to push a UA only union called Alta and I dont know what their current situation is either.... you can google it. As far as IBT ... we had to have something and I dont even remember what they said all those years ago but I do know the chief nego (some guy who wasnt a UA mech) 3 years ago gave away 2/3 of the mech profit sharing % back to the company so we get about what the ramp percentage is instead of the same percentage that the pilots get which is what we used to get.
But thank God for Delta giving their guys that big raise 3 and a half years ago- its the only reason UA got anything decent.

Be thankful we are STILL working under bankruptcy benefits while the iam owns the association and we still have people drinking the kool aid. Its unbelievable.

Typical teamsters. Giving away your retirement %. 3 promises that I still remember was pulling you guys into the pension, industry leading pay rates, and a fast new contract. None were complied with even to this day, part of the pay rate promises were industry leading retirement (pension included) and here they gave away retirement 3 years ago. That would be more than enough for me if I were there to remove the teamsters. I hope the ALTA works out for you guys. At least it's a C&C union. Good luck D....
