You could talk about Swampy love for AMFA setting the bar from mechanics at Northwest with their high pay. Or How your Association got you guys,a raise without a contract. We can't get a raise with no deal. Or how the IAM managed to keep their medical and all their holidays and got a raise with less membership.They sound like alot smarter with a bankrupt Airline, then AMFA team with an Airline that had made a profit every year for 45 years! :)
 
So you trust some unknown poster on a Message Board and not your own common sense that is asking the question why you can’t find this information that they got a second offer from UPS anywhere on the internet?

There are also multiple Teamsters webpages out there that give updates and none of them have any further information besides the rejection last October.

UPS has not paid a buyout to get out of any pension.

This is not the exact article I read years ago but it does address both times UPS got out of pensions first Central States 3-4 years ago I think, and the New England one back in 2012.
Where I was off was they interviewed several people some retired some not package delivery drivers and there may even be other groups tied to these two pensions that were affected too. There were more articles but this one explains about both times UPS did pull out.
All that aside it also mentions how the retiree benefits were slashed in half and some even more.

That's got to be the most stupid comment you ever made. Northwest used AMFA own language against them to contract stuff out , and lay mechanics off. It started a year after they got their big raise. You forget I have ex Northwest guys on my crew. And the same guy at Northwest that laid them off, is now at SWA.
You know full well I was referring to the increases they received which was record setting for the industry of a 9-10 dollar per hour jump.

Negotiating raises at the expense of your work is not something to crow about.

The Company’s have no problem giving that to you if it’s something you really want since it’s “Cost Nuetral”

Your last AMFA update shows again that the Company is willing to give you more money but they want an equal cost in return with your work.

Not one piece of information out there about a new TA.

Their local 2727’s website shows nothing and anything to do with their contract is behind a members only page.

I actually agree with you here, it is odd. But, we have been told by a couple guys from UPS they will tally on 8th. We will all see come the 8th. The guys that are communicating to me have done so thru their last 2 contracts and have not been wrong once on their votes. Don't see any reason not to believe them.
 
This is AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ISSUES not bag smasher want to be. Until we can get a site where aircraft maintenance and only aircraft can have discussions and not a bunch of stupid name calling this site is pointless
