Saw on FB, that the twu is planning on getting rid of the TUL Christmas shutdown. Is there any truth to that rumor?

Let me guess; you question some leaders over how they are running things and where all the money was going? Is that a good guess??Well in Tulsa its on Pine Street. The call it the Union Halll There was a time when I was welcome there.
Probably 32 years ago, then I was asked to stay away from the property. It has been this way for some time now.
NM been answered.Let me guess; you question some leaders over how they are running things and where all the money was going? Is that a good guess??
"Where's the Gravel?"Let me guess; you question some leaders over how they are running things and where all the money was going? Is that a good guess??
That's kinda what I thought. The teamsters did the same to me when I brought up the same issues. They tried to keep me out of the meetings too but I threatened a suit as I am a member and absolutely allowed to attend every single union meeting that I so desired and have to right to, as well as a FTR suit if they did block me from any general membership meeting and their leaders above them told the local officers that they did not have the legal right to block me unless I was destructive to the property, stealing union or teamster property, or a threat of harm to anyone there. They did not take me serious until I presented a letter from my attorney, that's when their leaders (at the international) said they can't block me legally. So if Buck really does wanna get back to the meetings it can be arranged. $50 bucks to my attorney and presented a letter to the local leaders was priceless to see their faces. This was the very beginning process of firing the teamsters from SWA mechanic representation. Best money I have ever spent brother...
What is AACP?Yes. Sounds easy but, very hard to get hired in with thousands of other applicants trying to do the same. Not trying to sound negative just saying how hard it in to get your resume seen here since the suit against SWA years back from the AACP. Things are very, very different now days as you already know. The days of walking the resume to the hiring crew is over. We can still help, but not like it use to be, just a little more work is required now days.
But yes a great program SWA has is the apprentice program. Get hired in one of the prefered AMFA represented groups as they have first choice for the program, then apply for the program, once your selected you have 2 years to get thru it, then you are a mechanic on probation for the next 6 months (I think) and then you are free. So after about 2.5-3 years you will be a full mechanic, then 5 years to top out...
OOps, my bad. should have been NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored people)What is AACP?
Airline ASP Coordination Program?
Well that is what happens when a UNION becomes more concerned with pushing leftist ideals than representing their members.I was told my pollitics were wrong

The NAACP is nothing but a group of liberals using leftist bullying tactics to push their weight around. They don't give a damn about black people. The only thing they care about is using public smear campaigns to extort money.OOps, my bad. should have been NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored people)
Thx for the correction, LuLu.
I have my own private attorney to use, validate and take action if need be. At our ages and the assets we have it's a must in my eyes. And I do use him a lot during nego's to get confirmation on certain issues because I always double check my unions attorneys. The teamsters were found to be wrong most all the time, but they were care full enough NOT to put anything in writing, that's the only thing that saved them. When this TWU and IAM asso. put in writing they would allow the membership to vote for or against the asso. was a direct FTR case. They knew all along that the membership would not vote on it as did my attorney who is an expert in labor laws with and without unions. This was the man that helped me "try" to tell the AA'ers that they would not get to vote on the asso. being rammed down their throats, turns out he was right from the get go, huh??? Never believe anything you are told by any union, union attorneys, company, and company attorney's people need to learn to get out and get your own info. as most will only tell you what you wanna hear and a private attorney will tell you like it is.
The only people I work for is myself and my family. I am employed by SWA and have nothing to do with any law firm as you suggest. I do my own homework and investigations. After the teamster, I trust no one, period. And yes this includes AMFA, I still get all my info. given to me verified and double checked.

They tried that BS against American Airlines just last year if you recall.
