I find it Funny as Hell. That the Leadership of TWU wants the Company to Respect US. When the damn IAM dont even respect US. How in the Hell do you allow a ASSociation to be formed between two unions and have both on the same floor and One is allowed to have MORE than the other. That is what made me change into who I am today. I have NO respect for ANYONE that thinks this is a good deal. TWU 591 should be using OUR money to get rid of this ASSociation. WAKE UP PEOPLE . Get rid of these ASS MONKEYS NOW.
The internal fighting amongst the twu unions will continue forever while the asso. is there. And as the negotiators have said, the asso. first has to nego between the TWU and the IAM FIRST, once they agree, they then will present it to the asso. to see if they agree to present it to the company, then the co. always kicks it back across the table with a direct opposite offer until that can be agreed upon. That's on each and every differences within the two contracts. This will take forever, and some here thinks 2 years is long, just wait until you guys get to the 5-6 year mark like we are, it's coming. I honestly think you guys should pull the trigger since this is more than likely gonna last another 3 years at best.

Probably have a better chance just passing the TWU card drive, then AMFA , if fact the TWU would probably help you do it, just to get rid of the I AM, don,t know how much the US Air guys you would get, maybe you wouldn't need them.Not sure if that is 100% correct. However, if it's so hard to get AMP or AMFA on a ballot, how about getting the TWU on a ballot to rid this asso.? A legit question here. I know most of you do not want the TWU but would it not be a step up from this asso. shoved down your throats? Or, pull the final trigger and get a mechanics union in at AA. AMFA will not get everything changed over one contract. But they will do it over time as they have here. At least with AMFA the membership will in fact be aware of all issues at the table and they will have full control of the issues fought for at the table. To this day the TWU has not told anyone what the co. is so adamant about in outsourcing. This way you guys won't know until you get a T/A in your hands, then guess what, it's too late do to the asso. agreeing to it hence the title T/A. AMFA may not have all the fixes in one contract but at least the membership would get control. Even if you guys went with a TWU card drive, you would end up with more control than this chaotic asso. BS. C'mon guys get rid them, they are just dragging you guys down big time, pull the trigger and get this done for once. Good luck with anything you guys decide...

“Yea, Lets calm down a little in what I stated about big language changes. I didn't say these changes were going to be negative. Most will be positive. As we have been pretty successful in taking the best language out of each contract. To date we have 32 articles that have a t/a. We will have right around 40 ( give or take a couple ) when we are finished. And yes, so far, I can say that i believe all 32 articles are better than in today's contracts. But it is going to take some educating, because some things will change for one side or the other, and I'm sure not everyone will like the changes. But hopefully most will.”
