When I was still part of U and screaming burn in hell fire at the U management team I had the pleasure of knowing Teddy personally. I found in her a woman with a fierce passion and a soft heart at the same time an iron will. No one ever needed to worry about where they stood with her because she would make that clear in no uncertain terms. Her convictions and passion scared a management team who were used to walking all over the other union leaders who lacked her passion and heart. She cut a path in the jungle of a new ruthless anti labor America where discarding union contracts and abusing employees is acceptable under the guise of bankruptcy. Funny how Bush just signed into law making it harder for individuals to file bankruptcy but not corporate America. This is the jungle this lady cut a path in. I only hope other union leaders catch some of her passion and heart least unions are history just like Teddy is soon going to be. Her departure is an strong indicator of where U is headed. Who could blame her for wanting a saner existence after the wars she fought. Good Luck Teddy, you will be remembered by a lot of people and they will be good memories.
