Aa's Plans For Florida

IMA open time has at least 30 positions open for today. This is your chance! Seriously it would help AA, the pax's and fellow fa's. They need any int'l qual f/a's to p/u trips. We don't even have minimum on a few flights. And it is safe for most of the flights as you aren't even scheduled to return until after Frances is projected to have swept thru.

Hey Stew, I'm available to pick up some trips...LOL...I'm only qualified on the 747, 1011, 767, MD80, 717 though, both domestic and International. Have your people call my people. Everyone stay dry and safe, and good luck with Frances!

Broward County officials announced this afternoon that the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will close as of 10 a.m. Friday because of the approach of Hurricane Frances.

AA at Miami will suspend operations after 2pm tomorrow.

Bummer there goes the horrible 4 day trip they droped in my schedule. I guess they missed my remarks section of my ballot. Possibly that section is just for us for fun. No one ever seems to follow it.

Better yet. At least for me my SI was at 7PM. First day in CCS and second day in MCO. After the hurricane blows by, how was I suposed to tell the two apart?

I am lucky this time rond. Its far enough north, but loks to have slowed up again. The hardest hit will be the pilots, flight attendants and others who live up in Palm beach and Stewart. Best of luck to all of them.

Looking at the news, you'd think noone in S. Florida had ever bought plywood before. Anybody prepare in advance down there?
