AA moving 130 accountants from Tulsa to Phoenix, Dallas

Well we could continue the thread drift ad nauseam.
JMHO, UA/CO lost a lot of talent when they 'forced' people to go to Chicago or the highway.
Several of my management friends decided to retire, or quit instead of move to Chicago.
Might have been different if it was Houston as QOL is much more sustainable.
Crap, just living in the 'windy city' and the snow just makes me chill, then riding the defunct train to down town 'CHI-Town' would be unbearable. Driving downtown is hardly an option.

Sorry for the thread drift... :p

Yep, my Chi-Town can be difficult for you ' thin skin ' types but for us Survivors here, nothing like a summertime outdoors Blues event with a Lake Michigan back ground!

Appears so -- the overnight mailing address there is still showing on 7645 E 63rd Street.

Do they still have accounting departments in the Triad II building?

Is it possible that the 130 accounting jobs are because American Airlines is letting the lease expire at Triad? Is it possible that the 130 has nothing to do with TULE?

They are not on base. They are located about 10 minutes away.

Were you referring to Triad?

Probably safe to say that the decision regarding these 130 positions has nothing to do with TULE. It's all about consolidating the HDQ functions, and I'd guess that at least 30% of those jobs will go away in the process, if not more.
