So, i'm not totally losing it...but it seems like AA is leaving PDX, or they are just outsourcing? Eagle is advertising for a full staff including a station manager on the aa website......
Why would Eagle need employees in PDX? They have never flown to PDX and im quite certain they won't being flying to PDX from DFW/ORD with RJs.
Horizon is going to all Q400's - getting rid of their CR7's
Eagle doesn't have anything that would make PDX except from SEA or LAX which would be completely duplicative with Alaska's current offerings. I would hope they don't pull out of PDX and that someone posted this with a typo, or incorrectly.
Could it be AS flies the PDX-DFW/ORD routes and AA Codeshares? Maybe even go as far as splitting costs on fuel, flight crew. Just want to save money from using the M80.Sure they do; Eagle's CR7s could be used from DFW.

Someone just told me Eagle was awarded the ramp handling contract at PDX, which is what they're hiring for, even though they won't have any Eagle flying at PDX. It's been 10 years since AA sold off AMR Services, so I guess Eagle sees some growth opportunity in that line of business... if they pick up ramp handling contracts elsewhere, it makes them look a little better as a spin-off....
