And TPA-GCM, cant remember if they did TPA-CUN, I know NW did as well as MBJ out of TPA.

Huh? Weeks ago it was announced that US metal would fly LAX-CMH double-daily this summer. My schedule shows double daily A319s.
excellent.. should be even easier for DL to win in the marketplace.

speaking about LAX, I'm going to go out on a not very long limb and guess that DFW-LAX might be one of the "bridges" that DL will use to get the 717s and crews out to the west coast.

Looks like DL has two nicely timed flights in the MIA-LAX market

Kev,
do I remember that NW used its DC9s on MEM-CUN?

Good memory!
Got my start in TPA with UA then PI.

And when I flew NW from TPA-CUN-TPA great flights first class on the DC9 and I still remember this because they didnt have minis in F/C they had fifths!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is an AA board - not a discussion about how crews will get out west on DL to fly the 717

You mean that certain someone did not think my "babbling" was worthy?
Just trying to fit in Mr E?

My feelings are hurt!

Nah, I have no problem with your posts. Just explaining that other troll's way of thinking.

DL says since AS proposes to transfer its authority to American Airlineshttp://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/6327534/# via a private transaction ( AA To Acquire AS LAX-MEX Route Authority (by LAXintl Feb 11 2015 in Civil Aviation) ) the DOT should in the public interest instead conduct a route case review and consider what it best for consumer interest.

Accordingly, DL says it seeks to offer 3 x daily service using 737-800 equipment in the market surpasing AA's proposed double daily service.

Proposed schedules.

LAX-MEX 0030-0615
LAX-MEX 0945-1530
LAX-MEX 1630-2215

MEX-LAX 0830-1040
MEX-LAX 1630-1840
MEX-LAX 2000-2210

OST-2015-TBA

I'm sure that DL is just trying to drag the case out since DL will start the route on the first day of 2016 anyway.

but since AA is messing with DL's HND authorities, DL will do the same here, even if both cases it will do nothing other than generate a bunch of paperwork.

No overlap with AM.
I don't see the DOT doing anything here. Let AA buy it from AS.

JMO.

that is likely what will happen... DL is just trying to slow the process down.

DL isn't letting AA gain an inch in LAX despite what some people believe.

you do realize that regardless of what happens with the HND route, DL will have more longhaul int'l flights from LAX on its own metal than AA will, don't you.

hourly service to SFO, SEA, PDX on mainline aircraft.

AA's difference in flights will be accounted for by, Wal-Mart int'l and a bunch of small intra-CA cities.

big whoop.
