A321T

IMHO I think this will prove to be a big mistake.
Parker has even said as much. Unfortunately not easy or cheap to undue because of the special configuration of the 321's coming out of the factory.
Another reason the old management was replaced.
No surprise DAL and others will benifit.

you missed the part that DL has gained more in fuel prices relative to its purchase of the refinery than it spent on it.

More recently, DL had the lowest fuel price of any US carrier.

and the benefits will only increase.

more significantly, cargo on the transcons is unchanged because of the refinery purchase.

omg this was a test - you can spin anything to how DL is doing it right - I guess losing all that money went right by you - proves the point how biased you are in your posts

jc  he is nothing more than a delta cheerleader   his posts speak volumes     ive and other posters have said every airline has its strengths and weakness regardless but he chooses to say that dl is the one that is better than any other airline

I was somewhat skeptical in the beginning as well, but after four months of flying the 321T on the transcons I think it's terrific.  I've made it a point to ask passengers, especially business and FC pax if they like it, and the response is overwhelmingly in favor.  I haven't seen a single empty seat in business in either direction and only a few in FC.

It can be turned in half the time of a 767 and it's reliable, too.  My only delays have been ATC and pilot shortages so far.  The frequencies are like LGA-ORD or DFW.  The businessman knows if he gets to the airport a little early or a little late he'll have his butt in a seat within 45 minutes.  Give it a chance.

Mark, your post reflects everything I've heard from people who pay to fly on it.

Frequency almost always wins over volume in a business market, especially when the product is worth it.

It's probably a new concept for the guys from Tempe (winning share with a better product vs. price), but if AA continues to win back customers with the 32T, it will make life that much more difficult for VX and B6.

I too really like the new 32B/321T seats and have flown both F and J and they did a very nice job. I think the F/As at first were concerned about the small galleys but it seeks they have adapted well and the service has been excellent.

BOS flight service has been told l-AA Airbus will start in October, but likely only 319 and 32S to MIA.

I know AA was working with Airbus to put extensions on the 321T (like a forward wing) so their could be a bigger galley - it's crazy that BA could serve everyone out of 318 galley with no issue - those AA FA's must of been besides themselves that they were not going to be able to provide service from the Airbus galleys.

Excellent more US metal coming to MIA - that is great for you

Hope the 321T is economically viable and a success - congrats to AA for trying a new product

What would be interesting is if the 321T proves to be successful, will they expand the city pairs?  LAX-ORD LAX-DFW LAX-BOS ORD-JFK ORD-DFW.

Apples to oranges, the BA's A318 only seats 32 passengers.

That's right 32 seats on BA and 30 seats on AA for business and first

BA has two galley's to serve them and AA has two - plus the one in the back for economy.

The AA FA's are great - however to say you would not be able to serve customers on the aircraft due to the galley's is a stretch.

Look at the galley's on a 757 used on international - they are just as small

Are you that stupid?

32S is the newly delivered L-AA A321 non transcon configuration. All the AA routes I fly from BOS & MIA are on AA metal. I only willingly fly USAIR Shuttle to DCA, it is convenient for me. Flew Envoy to TLV last summer and had a bad experience never again.
