I've no idea how this will end as yet, nor can anyone outside of the arbitrators' panel have any real clue as yet, but I hope the ending will prove at least workable for all concerned. The true tragedy in all this nonsense lay simply in not having nearly enough actually rational people involved from the start of it all....I mean seriously folks; the wholly imaginary "Army" of Leonidas?/"knights" who've "heroically" only ever "fought" inside Fantasyland?/"spartan solders"/even "dire wolves" and a group "philosophy" based on "heroic" T-shirts and pathetically ridiculous ties?...Seriously? To see something of this sort play out for a full decade's been plain past parody, and hardly served to demonstrate "the better nature of our angels" among any/all of us.

Bean; you were always one of the very few from the west actually worth even trying to "talk to/with" on these boards, and I wish everyone successful, safe and decent careers. I believe it would've been a true pleasure to fly with you anytime during this past decade, but life et al forever "is what it is"/etc. Per "and no I don't expect to be a captain."?...I hope you become one in fairly short order (not ahead of my east brethren that have more years already invested, of course) as a sufficiency of us aged dinosaurs wondering off to the "brutal" tar pit of retirement ensures a lot of empty seats to fill in the immediately upcoming years in any case.

My best to you and your family Bean. Take Care/Fly Safe/"Live long and prosper"/etc. ;)

I think we've got some good people on both sides of the Mississippi :)  When I was in Charlotte for training I met some really nice people (the kind you want to hang out with over a beer) and in the last two years on the Bus I've only flown with one jerk.  Pretty good odds I'd say.  Unfortunately out here in PHX we've had some really great guys retire recently and there is no positive spin.  They're not replaced with a fresh optimistic new hire, they're just gone.  Many of them didn't need to keep working for the money, they just enjoyed the job and the camaraderie, as I do.

My very best to you and your family as well.  Take care.

Wrong....

Everyone knows where this is going....it is going to be (has been done) in a "fair and equitable" manner.

What no one knows is whose idea of fair will be given the most weight.

However, it is highly unlikely the east's idea of fair (one which ignores the 9th circuit's ruling saying the fruits of an illegal union failure is one to which the east pilots should no longer be allowed to reap benefits) will be given much consideration as either "fair or equitable".

In any event, you are more than correct in your observation that Luv9 is a clueless on the subject.

Eh.....you've always been the supreme moron of the forum.  Nothing seems to change here.

This is the problem with this merger, as far as AWA pilots go. They really brought nothing to the operation, and they want our wide bodies. When they close PHX, they will be unleashed into the LAA system, stealing our jobs.
Nic4us is the embodiment of it. He/she wants it all. Bean counter is not that way.

Wait until those Lenidas guys start in on LAA pilots. Those videos are the most childish antics I have ever seen supposed airline pilots do.
Is Kothny in them? He is infamous around LAA

The West Merger Committee prominently displays a B-747 in America West Livery, front and center on the home page...

If I were even to attempt to comment, I have no idea where to begin..

I've never thought otherwise Bean. I've had the pleasure of talking with some of the PHX folks who are actual pilots and adults. As many times previously posted; my vitriolic insults were only ever directed towards the incredibly infantile "spartans"/"dire wolves"/"battle"-tested-"knights"/self-styled "Patriots" (solely by way of sporting "Liberty" ties) /"cap'n aux"/etc sorts of almost unimaginably ridiculous little children.  When first confronted with the whole Fantasyland "Army" of "spartans" thing and initial videos from PHX, well...It's fair to note that my immediate notion was to call maintenance for a hydraulic jack to help extract my lower jaw out of the impact crater it'd just made in the ground. ;)

Your real problem children have left the board due to the Global Settlement. Ferguson, Koontz, Vasin, Simmons, Poof, gone.
They scurried away like the rats they are. Marty used them to funnel millions into his pocket.
Ask Simmons about the money next time you pass him somewhere. He alone enabled the procuring of millions from the gullible ( Nic4us) Steve Gay et al
Too bad they listened to the half baked " attorney" Vaselino. The Arizona Summit prodigy.
The Nicolau will forever be a topic of lectures on labor law. And the mis application of same.
It will not be included in the latest SLI. It will be merely a footnote of an attempted integration 9 long years ago. LAA pilots will rue the day they were sucked into this mess.

Phoenix Law School Changes Name, Hopes That Stupid People Can’t Google

Did a bunch of bad law schools hire Sterling Cooper to handle their marketing? Name changes are the go-to move for the titular ad agency in Mad Men. But here in real life, it seems like law schools are more interested in changing their name than changing their product.

We discussed Thomas Cooley Law School’s name change to the “Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.” As the internet has caught onto the business model of Cooley, the administration figured that associating themselves with a larger university would throw people off the scent.

Evidently, the Infilaw-owned Phoenix Law School couldn’t find a research university dumb enough to allow its name to be sullied by association with a low-end law school. So Phoenix Law just made something up…

Phoenix School of Law has renamed itself “Arizona Summit Law School.” I think we’re all used to directionally named law schools, but by invoking the word “summit,” Phoenix has taken it to the third dimension. The National Law Journal reports:

“The new name highlights our commitment to the success of our students who come from diverse backgrounds and stages in life and provides a supportive academic environment where civic-minded leaders and community advocates are nurtured,” Dean Shirley Mays said.

The change is accompanied by a new website, logo and advertising campaign.

The move comes at a challenging time for the downtown Phoenix law school, one of Infilaw Holding LLC’s consortium of for-profit schools. The school enrolled just 197 new students this fall, down from the 380 1Ls who began at this time last year. That represents a 48 percent decline, a steeper drop-off than most law schools saw this year.

Spare me your platitudes about student success and commute advocates. Arizona Summit (née Phoenix School of Law) is still charging people $41,114 in tuition and fees for an unranked law school. That is why nobody intelligent wants to go there. You can change your name and your logo and your website, but until you change your unreasonable tuition, you’re still a bad deal.

Changing their name to escape their Google footprint is really Arizona Summit’s way of saying that it hopes their applicants are too stupid to effectively research on the internet. If you Google “Arizona Summit” and somehow miss that this is an Infilaw holding that used to be called Phoenix School of Law (and all that that entails), then you are a dumbass, plain and simple. If you apply to Arizona Summit because you think it’s different than Phoenix Law, I don’t even have a word for you.

Individual applicants might be dumb, but Google is not. Like so many things that happen in Mad Men, things that worked in the sixties aren’t going to fly in 2013.

Mitch made quite a tag team with his buddy McIlvana.  Thought they should make a 17 year seniority jump into the East's 330s.  Now they are drooling over the 777.  Fat chance.

Cite any ruling where USAPA was an illegal entity.
You cannot. You merely spew regurgitated Leonidas propaganda.
There will be no Nic Award. Therefore, NoNic4Us is a more apt name.

Cite where I called uscaba an "illegal entity"???

I said the scab union committed an "illegal union failure"  as in a violation of their duty of fair representation.  It is a historical fact that the scab union has been found guilty of a failure of their duty, and the 9th circuit expressed that the east pilots should no longer be the beneficiaries of that "illegal union failure".

You spew the same regurgitated nonsense the scab union proposed.  Ignorant ideas like"hey we can get out of a binding arbitration by changing our representation and offering the company our work on scab wages"!

You propose there is "no Nic award"...yet 2 of the 3 committees in this SLI used it as the only legal starting point for LUS pilots.  I think you were bamboozled by scabford and his now rich attorney who milked the east for 10s of millions $ only to be fired and sued by the same scab union he led down the guilty DFR trail.

There will always be a "nic award." Will it be used is the question.

So what is the difference between a "Legal union failure' vs an "Illegal union failure?"

Nice try, junior. "Bamboozled" by Ferguson, Koontz and your AOL scab group is more like it.

Someone change the water in the fishbowl, this little minnow is getting confused.
