$85 grand does sound nice, I think I could find a use for that, well the $45 grand or so after taxes anyway.
Why don't you head over to Delta to get in on the good life? Surely they will pay wages and bonuses equivalent to what you think your skills and experience are worth, right? Walk right in and get top of scale wages with bonuses to boot. Surely the free market forces of supply and demand will treat you well over there. Non-Union people switch employers for higher pay all the time so there's nothing preventing you from doing the same, right?

Obviously you don't think you're worth what a Delta pilot makes, and we all understand that coming from an airline of last resort how you would feel that way..,,,,

And most likely everyone wishes they worked for the best and not the worst, AWA wrecking one airline at a time!

No s**t, Sherlock!   What a keen grasp of the obvious!

Have you spent all your time since retirement researching everybody else's retirement date? Nothing better to do between PBGC and SS checks?

You're so pathetic.  On the date you point out, I will leave this forum never to return since it will be in my past and my input irrelevant.  Yours already is, BTW.

Defeat, seriously USAPA cleaned your clock big time........I remember my crew showing me letters of you kids whining about being stuck in a fishbowl, that being PHX while the rest of the airline has enjoyed growth and upward movement............I have worked with some very junior guys.

Correction:  Had you succeeded in a DOH cramdown you would have cleaned our clocks.  The whole fishbowl thing is a setback and I believe any final integration without your beloved DOH will be success on our part in the clock cleaning.

The west pilot Global Settlement was filed on 02/15, then the Carlisle vs APA (LUS, MDA DFR) was filed shortly afterwards on the same day.

"WHEREFORE, the parties jointly ask the Court to stay all proceedings in these cases,
schedule a fairness hearing during the week of May 2, 2016, or the week of May 9, 2016, and
permit the parties to submit a proposed Notice of Settlement and Notice of Fairness Hearing to
be sent to all class members."

MEEP, MEEP!

The East pilots have been progressing in their careers by date of hire since the awa, LUS merger in 2005.  There will be separate operations for at least a few more years, only the west will be complaining about that.  Net result, DOH will essentially be governing the progression of the majority of East pilots until their retirement.

LUS and LAA will be happy to keep what they brought to the merger.  The best the west can expect in the near future, their fishbowl will be replaced by a PHX fence.
(AKA, TWA STL fence, now the soon to be STL, PHX supplemental C fence)

"West Mediation Group Update Regarding Pending “Global Settlement” February 15, 2016
on

16 February 2016.
Today we reached a Global Settlement with USAPA and the individual defendants in all outstanding litigation between East and West pilots. (Attached) We are pleased with the agreement and believe it represents the best, most realistic, and timely outcome possible for all parties. It is the result of intense mediated negotiations over the last several weeks.

A few steps are yet required and Judge Conrad’s approval is needed before the agreement becomes a final judgment, but there is a reasonably high probability that the necessary steps will be successfully completed soon. One of those steps is called a “Fairness Hearing” which will be held before Judge Conrad wherein he will determine whether or not the agreement is fair.

We are now in the process of preparing for the soon to be scheduled Fairness Hearing before the judge in order to convert this settlement into a final order. As such, all former US Airways pilots will be receiving various forms of notification of the process and the steps that will be taken to obtain Judge Conrad's approval of the settlement.

Remember, no money will change hands until Judge Conrad’s final order. In the meantime, Leonidas, LLC will continue making monthly payments to satisfy various financial obligations incurred on behalf of the former AWA pilots that have led us to this point. Though it is more likely than not that the settlement will be approved with little or no modification, it is not guaranteed so please continue your Push for Justice contributions so we can meet those obligations."

I know I've lost, really.  It's been tough and it will continue to be tough for me, especially every time I think about my east bidding mate next to me on our seniority list at FOS, hired on the east 12 years ahead of me.  Every time I think about that guy and his long, hard fight against the west, I will think about how he's won.  Everything,  Even with his last couple of years before retirement he's a group 2 captain and I'm a few years away from Group 4 captain, I will think about how he has won the lottery.   :D
