I wrote several letters to FBI Director Freeh, and in October of 1996 I was polygraphed again, by another agent with the first agent who polygraphed me present. The results were the same, he told me I had failed.

I will probably always be effected by the injustice of what happened. I wrote a final letter to Director Freeh this summer asking for another polygraph. I even offered to pay all expenses associated with retaking it if I were to fail. I guess I still haven't accepted that you can fail a polygraph while telling the truth. Or the fact that the FBI could make this kind of mistake. I had always looked up to that agency as the pinnacle of professionalism. I received the same form letter back that I had received almost two years earlier. It is a shame, since all I wanted to do was to have a chance to serve my country and make my family proud.

The FBI is uniquely well suited to detect sociopathic and deviant personalities during its psychological screening process.  Two FBI and one Secret Service interviews were abruptly terminated for a reason.  The brusque nature of his rejection demonstrates that there was absolutely no doubt among the G-Men that they were dealing with a disturbed and potentially dangerous individual. 
 
Thank God that our most elite law enforcement agencies are maintaining the highest of standards.  These outstanding organizations are simply not a proper place for a person not of sane mind.

I've never seen the West ever blow their party kazoos with any success. 
 
Perhaps Judge Silver will be devastated to no longer have Marty sending her flowers, but the thing that will bother her most is her utter inability to finally use "pyrrhic" in the most apropos of all pyrrhic victories... due to another premature settlement.  
 
Settlement.. such anathema to underemployed lawyers and judges. 
 
Is Marty cashing in his chips?  His hobby horse just won't rock anymore?  He will bill for one more written narration of the victory (conspicuously missing from the story will be the billions in damages paid to Westicles by onerous assessments upon the intransigent Eastholes).  
 
Oh well.  Its far past time to move on, and evidently Marty has persuaded the most rabid to trade their wrath for mere math.

In accordance with the USAPA Constitution & Bylaws and USAPA Operating Manual, the Special Telephonic meeting of the Board of Pilot Representatives will reconvene tomorrow, Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. ET.  The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the language of the global settlement term sheet.
