We'll see.  Most people don't like Scotch.

Cheers!
You can't by the good stuff on LOA 93, US Airways bankrupt wages. Look on the bright side, voting in the MOU gave you the raise to save up and buy a decent 12 year old Scotch.

The Nic is indeed here/Nic Plus, aged and will be presented to the panel like a fine Single Malt Scotch.
Cheers!

You probably right the APA will take good care of them.

Ashame you can't either but those ties sure look good, pay up, Marty wants more of your money, look at the bright side you locked in PHX for a few more years.

The NIC existed in a paradigm long since gone. It's very existence was conditional on a single CBA that never was.
Take your best shot...
Of course we'll take our best shot. Using the work of another arbitrator has merit whether or not there was a CBA. You assume the paradigm eliminates the Nic. Ever consider a paradigm shift to compensate for delays?

The abitrators know the law and their jobs. They don't like others doing their work for them .....

West "logic" is always good for some laughs. If indeed they don't like others doing their work for them; exactly why then would they rubber stamp nic's long-outdated (and hugely criticised) work, rather than just doing their own?

Here's the problem with your theory : remember that snapshot that was taken in December 2013? Yea, that one.....how can a panel of three arbitrators look you in the eye with a straight face after you pass the Nic across the table to them? You see they have to balance the fairness of advancing in status of say 1600 westies at the detriment of 10000 legacy AA pilots and 3000 legacy US pilots when the snapshot was taken. Do you think they would rather piss off 1600 or 13000? I will tell you if they piss off the 13000 they will be putting this whole sli arbitration process at risk as well as their own livelihoods.

I hope you have a plan B old buddy!

You guys are the best entertainment one could ask for so buy some more ties and keep it up.

Of that I've not the slightest doubt where seniority's concerned...but perhaps, just possibly that is, not in the manner the west now imagines. "Hey you'se! Yeah, 'dat's right, we'se talkin' ta' you'se! Get ovah heyah pizzants, so's Vinnie and Guido can's take care of yaz.." ;)

CactusPilot1 said:
You assume too much. Why would I want to commute out East? Life on the island means I can hit the slopes in the AM and relax by the pool in the evening.

Since PHX is obviously the best place on earth to live (and none of you would ever want to commute, much less move of course, with the "possible" exceptions of your "Move2CLT" and prechill naturally); what reason(s) do you logically have for constantly and so enthusiastically wrapping yourself around the axle over the nic? Help us make sense of that, since the nic wouldn't reorder seniority in PHX?...? Is it somehow your assumption that thousands are impatiently lined up, just chomping at the bit and no doubt salivating at even the very thought of bidding into PHX? ;)

Res Judicata: Right. Everyday you hate your new, bottom of the barrel contract, just remember that it is the personal price you'll be paying to provide the West's the Seat at the table. If the West didn't want you scabs and your fake union gone, this MOU wouldn't have passed. The West got what they wanted, and you got LOA93 v2.0....

So then; explain to us all again why "you'se" geniuses opted to inflict further restrictions/"LOA93 v2.0" on your finely honed palates? Oh, nevermind, Res Judicata covered that as well: "...stewing in your garbage contract that was shoved down your throat by a consumately unified west pilot group."

Perhaps it's not the fault of any scotch, since that wouldn't likely explain that much self destructive, delusional behavior alone...It must be all those clandestine, deep desert peyote rituals...?

No matter, I suppose. Hearty congrats to your fine group for (as always) greatly assisting management's efforts at every possible turn, and especially for nowadays proudly bragging about a "garbage contract that was shoved down your throat by a consumately unified west pilot group."  Perhaps the jokingly suggested reference to peyote rituals isn't really so far off at all....

Don't drink. We definitely don't drink what you dish out.

Still a year out (at least) from SLI. More law to go.

Bad Standing with USAPA
Started by nycbusdriver, Today, 08:18 AM

I have been an ardent supporter of USAPA since before it was even called USAPA (and I can prove it.) When USAPA became the certified bargaining agent, I went on dues check-off, but about 6 months later there was some company computer glitch (either accidental or intentional) that took me off check-off. I found out when the first of 5 years of monthly statements started arriving. I inquired as to why check-off had ended, and was told my only option was to resubmit. I opted to just pay the monthly bills.

When APA became my union in September, the USAPA statements unsurprisingly stopped arriving. Until yesterday. I received a regular statement billing me for a few hundred dollars in dues, indicating that I was in BAD standing, and requiring an additional $100 to "reinstate" me in USAPA.

Like that is going to happen.

Had the dues bill arrived in a timely manner, I would have paid it. But leaving my account in arrears because of their own neglect, and now demanding a ransom, leaves me with little choice to tell USAPA:

"Take my arrears dues money out of my refund. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why I would pay even a nickel for "reinstatement" in USAPA.

It's over USAPA. Give us our money back and go home."

Got another usapa bill for a full month of dues. Fired off a nasty email since their phones don't work. Ploy to put us all in bad standing????

Everyone needs to challenge usapa on any defective billing, especially if it puts you into bad standing. If Streble/Mahlman do not fix it, the challenge is the first step in any possible legal action.

just received a bill for $$$$ I paid in full the end of October with two different checks. One was for $$$$ I just sent a copy of the cashed check via email and requested Mahlman to correct their records. USAPA's accounting is a disaster in several respects.

I think USAPA is just trolling for people gullible enough to send them more money. They must be getting desperate.

Some folks just like throwing good money at bad money...

I don't recommend sending any money to USAPA until after dues reconciliation, if then. I'm quite certain that dues reconciliation will happen before any refunds take place, so there is no reason to send any money right now.

The company better not provide USAPA with any final payroll data. That would be a violation of my privacy. They are no longer are bargaining agent and are not entitled to any of my payroll data.

My wife says same thing arrived at home today! Grrrrr...
I think we should all email the North Carolina Attorney General's office. Maybe call the local TV station(s), get an investigative reporter interested...

Got mine...In GOOD STANDING - but they want the $$$$ I owe......
guess I'll be going into BAD STANDING!
That's what I meant months ago by anyone that believes that any of us will be getting money back is an idiot.

I got a bill for $$$. I emailed them back to take it out of the refund they owe me. And furthermore if this harassment continues I will be turning this matter over to my lawyer

And the money should be returned to members and non-members alike, good standing or bad standing alike, objector or whatever alike, if you were forced to pay USAPA, USAPA should be forced to pay you back. It is as simple as that, regardless of their man made constitution.

Who is this u-s-a-p-a you guys speak of?
Never mind. I never cared for pickelball, anyway.

How can the A$$wipes send a FINAL and BINDING BILL?
We haven't even got the W2 EARNINGS FOR 2014!
In addition, I bet they back billed the signing bonus that was $Dues EXEMPT!
Maybe __ could advise, but would a "Demand Letter" to stop the ficticious
billing and harrassment be in order?

I was in good standing, now bad. How did I go into bad standing when they don't even exist anymore?

USAPA = ERROR

Piss on those losers...
