Here's a good one. A check airman friend of mine in the clt schoolhouse has said they have had some west guys come through for training, mostly some coming back from medicals and some CQTs . It seems as if 9 west ck airmen quit last summer in protest of having to work more. That created a backlog of training so the westies had to train east.
Thing is, lots of pilots wear their uniforms when commuting so it's easier to transit security, ride jumpseat and etc. so you will very often see guys in training wearing their uniforms. My friend has said he has NEVER seen a liberty tie worn in the training center.
Why is that? You guys like to wear them so proudly everywhere else!
