Disappointing news in Charlotte. After Bob Frear declined to run for reelection, Don Iorio was elected base Chairman against a weak field. It was strictly a name recognition contest.

Chip Munn is ecstatic. He now has a source on the BOD. He will use this to give weight to his future op-eds advising "caution" and "reasonableness" in the upcoming negotiations. He will also refer to his source's insider knowledge to blast the mechanics and fleet for their "self-defeating" radicalism and greed.

Iorio is joined at the hip with APA President Dan Carey, the Prince of Sleaze. Iorio can be counted on to give cover to the Prince's corrupt shenanigans. Carey is delighted and is already planning his APA funded Ireland vacation scams for 2019.

Johnny Mac and Kothny are hated by agents throughout the airline. Kothny/Move2CLT has carpet bagged into JFK on the Triple7. The Natives already are bidding around him.
Word is, Capn Aux is dying to angle into LAX on the Dreamliner. Soon, we will be regaled by his tales of international time travel.

The Braintrust from PHX includes Randolph Richmond and CJ Szmal. Randolph comes up with some absolutely scary ideas that Parker will run with. The NAAtives are wary, and for good reason. They see Super Lawyer Mitch Vasin shepherding them into the clutches of ALPA. Maybe Parker will be able to tank what's left of the AA pilots pension with the help of Iorio and Mosely, and Vasin.

Kothny, well he's Moved2JFK for the time being. He still has plans for a Move2CLT.
The Natives are babysitting his Deep South ambitions. So far, it has been the most junior reserves that draw the straw. Nobody rests on those flights when he is at the helm..

Randolph Richmond's whiny, self-pitying posts on C&R have become a joke among the savvy AA pilots. They know that he is drooling over their LAX and DFW widebodies, even as he sputters on about his uncashed lottery ticket.

One sign that the lad is not overly bright is his deep admiration for "The Toadstool," Captain Johnny MacIlveena. The Toadstool was instrumental in the disastrous decision to turn down the deal at Wye River. Randolph and Cap'n Aux would be closing in on LAX 787 bids if not for The Toadstool's brainless, emotional leadership style. This proved to be "self-defeating," as Chip Munn would say.

You have to give Randolph Richmond this. He fully understands that Kothny is an idiot.

Randolph tried to remain loyal after a buff F/O teed off on his obnoxious colleague but then a fit F/A tattooed Kothny's greasy face in the employee lot. At this point there was simply no denying that he had it coming.
