Ladies, be honest. How does the Chip hair-plug look compare to the strong, masculine style of Telly Savalas, Sean Connery and Mitch Vasin?

Mitch Vaselino, like most former AWA pilots quickly donned their American Airlines garb as fast as humanly possible. See, Mitch and the majority of AWA pilots had very little chance of being hired anywhere but AWA. Now, pilots like Mitch preen like peacocks at their ill gotten seniority grab from Legacy AA pilots.

Mitch and Johnny Mac are back complaining about USAPA on C&R. Happens every week or two. They make quite a trio with their buddy Kothny. The AA boys aren't the least impressed and put them in their place. Sad.

Granger smoked the other four candidates in the CLT Vice-Chairman election with 49% of the vote. He will now go to a runoff with Blackwell and the distant third place finisher, Dan Scola.

Scola is joined at the hip with APA President Dan Carey, the Prince of Sleaze. Carey keeps getting caught enriching himself at the members' expense but Scola sees no problem with this. In fact, it gives him a warm, fuzzy feeling because it reminds him of the good old days with ALPA, Inc.

Scola will be transferring to LAX in December so he shouldn't have even been in the race but his mind works in mysterious ways. He will have a blast in LA hanging out at the Starbucks in Terminal 4 and keeping an eye out for B-list celebrities. His heart will skip a beat when he sees some guy who once played the neighbor on Mr. Belvedere.

He can't wait for Cap'n Aux to get that 787 bid in LAX so he can join in on the fun. Cap'n Aux is a celebrity in his own right. He became famous on the internet after he said goodnight on the LGA Tower frequency to Karim and Bunny.

The Prince of Sleaze has sent the membership a morale building Labor Day video from his farm in Ireland. He thinks the members will be inspired that he is hanging out at the farm and tells them he will "see you out on the line." This is rich because he is known for spending little time on the line and almost no time at his APA office.

He has caught some flak for his lack of a work ethic, to which he has not responded well. The feisty Prince is hoping for a Don Iorio - Dan Scola sweep in Charlotte because he knows they will give cover to his absenteeism and self-dealing grifter tendencies.

Dan Scola is excited to host Price Carey at his first "Concourse Conversations" flight pay loss extravaganza as CLT Vice Chairman. In a unique twist, it will be held at the Starbucks in Terminal 4 at LAX, Dan's new crew base. CLT pilots are reminded to book their jumpseats early if they wish to attend. As a special treat for the membership, Dan has invited the actor who played Tony Danza's former teammate on season 2 of Who's the Boss.

Johnny Mac, aka "The Toadstool," is on a C&R roll. The Toadstool outdid himself today when he stated that USAPA had bribed one of the arbitrators with a job offer in the Hillary Clinton administration in exchange for killing the Nic. Yes, he actually posted that.

Beam the Toadstool up, Scotty.

The Toadstool was back at it today on C&R. The genius cautioned against asking for a profit sharing deal like Delta's. We should take "baby steps" and only ask for about half of what The Professionals get. The reason? At Delta, according to the Toadstool, only the pilots get profit sharing. This would be unacceptable to Doug, who would insist on sharing equally with all groups, so we must ask for less.

Yeah, that Parker is really a sharing kind of guy. Who Knew?

Other posters quickly pointed out that all Delta employees get the same profit sharing, contrary to what the mangy know-it-all picked up on some inane blog. So there is every reason in the world for all AA groups to ask for and get a similar deal.

It's scary to think that the Toadstool's protege Eric Ferguson is Chairman of the Negotiating Committee. We may be doomed before we even begin.

Johnny Mac and Kothny are hated by agents throughout the airline. Kothny/Move2CLT has carpet bagged into JFK on the Triple7. The Natives already are bidding around him.
Word is, Capn Aux is dying to angle into LAX on the Dreamliner. Soon, we will be regaled by his tales of international time travel.

I found the America West Airline drug trafficking trial fascinating. Patrick Thurston, Vice President of Operations, America West, Bob Russell, Chief of Pilots, and Carl Wobser, a captain, all pleaded guilty to multiple counts of narcotics trafficking. They had purchased a DC 6 and embarked upon a career in the drug trade. Unfortunately for them their plane, which they maxed out electronically, had chronic engine problems which required them to touch down unexpectedly in several countries. This was more than embarrassing, since they had not filed flight plans.
On one such emergency stop in Aruba, on the way back from Columbia, their plane was found packed with marijuana. There is reason to believe that their intended cargo was cocaine and that after a mix-up they did not wish to fly back empty. Despite the lofty positions these men held with America West, they seemed to have no difficulty getting time off for their drug flights, and America West wanted to rehire Russell after his six months in the Federal country club at Safford.
Twenty percent of the stock of America West was owned by Ansett Airlines of Australia and 55% of Ansett was held by Sir Peter Ables and Rupert Murdock. We know from Jonathan Kwitny 's book, the Crimes of Patriots, that Burny Houghton, perhaps the key figure in the founding of the CIA drug money laundering bank Nugan-Hand in Australia, had coffee with Sir Peter Ables the night of his first day in Australia.
