2014 maintenance talks

oh wait there are none.

TWU what are you doing for maintenance?

This is just my opinion based on past TWU practice and I have no proof.

My opinion is that the TWU/IAM has requested the NMB to continue to delay the decision on the association because a ballot will be coming. The delay will coincide with a new agreement so that you will all be fooled into a belief that the association is effective and beneficial.

Ratification, then vote on the NMB approval of the association.

Just a hunch.

In order for the alliance to be voted in, the TA would have to be pretty fricken good, I'm talking SWA good.

So far all i see from the TWU and IAM, is the worst contracts in the industry, at a time when the FAs are being offered industry leading, but to bitter to take anything without profit sharing.

Are you kidding me?  You settle for this alliance for a SWA contract?  No freakin way!  If you are willing to settle for the alliance you should be saying that you would settle for "best in the industry" that includes UPS.  A greater contract than UPS is what it would take to get a vote to pass for this BS alliance.  We all know that this alliance can in any way shape or form get better than UPS contracts, it just simply is not going to happen.
I have said it from the beginning,  "something is up" with how long all this is taking and not a single peep from anyone, I still think some kind of "screwing" is gonna end up coming out of all this.  There are secret meetings going on and it will all come out in the long run.  Next Wed will mark 20 weeks...

You are of course right, thanks for correcting me.

Time will tell but with the twu I wouldnt be surprised,,,, you just expect it!!!
It's not how the TWU will screws us again, but when. I expect the worse, but the TWU usually tops it.

My only hope is that DP says our line mechs will be the highest paid, and the TWU is not allowed to take their raise for some other work group again. Highest paid FSCs, highest paid MRO, lowest paid line mechs.

The TWU will not allow AMTs to get a bigger raise than Fleet and Stores.  No way.

I've recently noticed that AA M+E is now being called AA Tech Ops. Could AA be getting ready to spin this off as a separate division like Delta did?

We got bigger raises than the other groups in 2001, in 2003 and 2012 we took bigger cuts than the other groups though.
