I know it passed in CLT by over a 2 to 1 margin, I am kinda surprised.
 
I heard results will be out today, as the West Coast Stations had to be counted late last night.

I know it didn't fit in to what some wanted or think they deserve but it's a move in the right direction and sometimes it's better to make steps than trying to make one huge leap.

Once again this membership shoots itself in the foot. I'm not suprised though. Everyone waited this long for a contract they should have just waited a squeak longer. The company needs a CBA a hell of a lot more than a JCBA. Get ready for 5 years of "talks" for a JCBA while the company rakes in record millions of profits in a consolidated airline industry meanwhile the union dues keep rolling in. Don't blame me I voted NO!

So where exactly do you believe was the line that people should have waited for? And you could be right that we'll be waiting a long time for a JCBA but I don't think so. There are a lot of factors you're not considering and we are not in the same position as UAL if that is where you're basing your opinion from.

Thanks to the Union Leaders who performed all the hard work on our behalf. I for one am grateful for this new contract and am looking forward to building not only the biggest airline in the World but also the Best !

These people should be thanked and commended. The time and travel they have to put in to get to this point is a tremendous strain not only to them but their families as well.

Their families should also be shown a huge measure of gratitude for the sacrifices they made in allowing them to put in so much effort for the betterment of all of you.

I don't think that one is him personally. There will always be dissenters but that's ok. Without them there is no dialog to propel and formulate thoughts.

As for our man with an agenda it looks like his time is about up. He's going to need to find a new hobby I think.

The System-wide ratification voting process held yesterday, July 18, 2014 is complete.
A majority of voting members have determined to ratify this agreement.

I'm pretty certain that this group would have voted for a pay-cut !!!!! not surprising at all, especially when 1/2 the membership in CLT didn't even feel that this was important enough to even show up and vote for !!!

I think that if you look at it another way you could say that they didn't show up to vote yes when a no show goes to a yes anyway. If they didn't want it then they would have turned out to vote no. JMOA.

I dont disagree with you but looking at it, how long would a " Squeak" be ? Hard to say..........

Mechanics and Related, Fleet Service, and Maintenance Training Specialists workgroups at US Airways, represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM), ratified three collective bargaining agreements today covering more than 11,000 employees. The agreements will remain in effect for the US Airways employees until a joint collective bargaining agreement covering the 30,000 employees of the new American Airlines has been reached.
