Who''s the better CEO? Crandall? Carty? Arpey? Bundy?

Well, Carty is #3. I would give Arpey a year to see how he turns out. But right now, he is just a slightly less imperial Carty.

Different times, different passenger demands, different employee concerns.

There is no way to determine the answer, but it is obvious that just about everything Carty tried and/or came up with failed. I think the man needed a rabbits foot for luck, but carried a crows claw.

Herb Kelleher is my vote.

(Jesus),AAplanesareold, you had to get me started, did'nt you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The answer HANDS DOWN, was (my EX uncle bobby) CRANDALL.

Now have ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, when it came to (union) employee relations, Crandall WAS THE WORST.

BUT, and it's a big but, Crandall would have shrunk this company LOOOOOOONG before we approached BK-11, AND HE WOULD HAVE DONE IT BY SENIORITY, and finally, he would have rebuilt it back up, one route at a time.
He did it in the late 70's/ early 80's, and he would have done it again

"Where have you gone uncle bobbyo, our company turns it's lonely eyes to you, OOH OOH OOH"

He's not on your list, but I would like to add:

C.R. Smith, the man who brought you the DC-3.
